10.08.2007: The USA and hosts, Mexico qualified to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2007 after eliminating Costa Rica and El Salvador, respectively, in the CONCACAF Tournament at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess Hotel Beach in Acapulco, Guerrero. Four goals by Jevin Albuquerque helped the defending CONCACAF champion, USA (2-0, 6 Points) to a 5:3 victory over Costa Rica (0-2, 0 Points) as they progress to their third consecutive FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. In the other encounter, three goals by Ivan Medina and two more from Ricardo Villalobos led Mexico (1-0, 6 Points) to a 6:4 win against El Salvador (0-2, 0 Points).
