Increase our understanding of other cultures by interacting with people outside our own culture Never impose on other people our values that may conflict or be inconsistent with their culture Let us use and/or demand for the use of materials and approaches that are friendly to the various cultural groups at our workplaces, schools, communities and other settings Intervene in the right way when we see others behave in manners that show cultural insensitivity, bias or prejudice Be proactive in listening, accepting and welcoming people with cultural values and practices that are different from our own
