Time Square NYC
I remember the days when I
prayed for a husband. I always wanted a godly man and then met my best friend, my other half, my husband at church! It was definitely a love of first sight. God's timing is always perfect! That’s what happen when you don’t settle and wait for His best. Everything started when I was invited by a friend, to a 4th of July gathering at a church festival. I had this very strong feeling to attend, and so I did. There were over 2K people, but I had this feeling of "THE ONE" God had promised was there! However, I didn't see him, and even if I hadn’t seen Genti (my husband) that night, he spotted me and stood for 2 to 3 minutes just starring at me and thinking "who is that girl". However, I never saw or met him that night. Two months went by and I was once again invited, from the same friend, to a different church festival for Labor Day. It was that day that we locked eyes from across the dance floor.
I will never forget the feeling I had when I first saw Genti. Pure magic! I knew he was someone special!
Everything started from that night. We started talking, dating and spending every day together. I can easily say it was building a strong and special bond between us. The relationship blossomed as the days passed. Genti told me he was "totally in love with me", and I knew we were both feeling the exact same way! One of the best days of my life was 2 months later when Genti had planned a trip to New York City and invited me to go with him. Never thought in million years, that that night I would become his fiancĂŠ!
We were in Times Square in the middle of the crowd, in the rain, when Genti dropped on one knee and asked me if I would marry him. Of course, I said YES! We went through storms where other people tried to break us apart, but we never gave up on each other, it just strengthened our love and relationship more! Every day that went by, this bond between us was just getting stronger and stronger. We wanted to be with each other more and more. We wanted to live together. But Genti knew, that I always wanted to do things in God's way, first marry then live together. He respected me and waited for me until marriage!
Everything happened so quick, Genti and I were married at the same church he first spotted me in and we now have a very happy life! We consider our love a gift and a blessing from God. And the foundation of our relationship, marriage, love and happiness is sent by Him!"
Mr. & Mrs. Gentian S hpati
What can I say?
The many faces of being the founder of a passionate business is so exciting and rewarding, but none as touching as artist, Shamal Grassi. Artist, hmmm, not quite, more like playing a harp with a soft breeze. Can’t wait to hear your comments, dear Friends! Ed Morales has invited us to his home and studio, but it would be very costly in Uber. And so, he is visiting us!!! He and his lovely wife Maggie are coming to Chicago soon from Washington, leaving the cold for the cold. But I think I know a few warm spots with a brew and a platter sized steak. We have a new kid on the block Daniel, wearing, no the Devil wearing Daniel! We went through some speed bumps these few days but let me tell you Daniel and his Team can fly over anything with the best of them!
Happy Valentines Day! With all the minus degrees outside it’s a year we will not forget! Nor will we forget the endearing group in this months issue. Our Valentines Wedding Couple Mr. & Mrs. Gentian Shpati from Times Square are now living Happily Ever After! Model, Olivia Starr and Photographer @lilykozstudio created charming work wearing Beautiful dress by @moque_official and@ooahooah necklace! And where? New York City, of course! La Jolla veteran resident artist Jacques Silberstein is back again, more fabulous than ever! You have to read for yourself, Actor Martyn Hale, chasing his dreams!

My name is Patricia Michelle Ocasio Nogueras and I am 17 years old. I am a young woman with a purpose. I am an optimist, persistent and a fighter. l am Miss Puerto Rico teen 2019 and I represented the wonderful town of Aibonito in memory of my great grandparents Gladys Bonilla and JosĂŠ Enrique Nogueras who passed away. I feel very proud of myself for everything I have achieved. Besides being crowned Miss Puerto Rico teen, I won a few awards. These are: Miss Elegance, best swimsuit competition, best skin, beautiful
face, best interview, Miss Photogenic and best presentation "I am like this". My hobbies are modeling, playing volleyball and acting. I love spending time with my family. My work platform is directed towards bullying because I have been a victim of it all my life. I know how difficult it is to be bullied and telling my story can serve as an example of how to overcome obstacles, courage and mettle and not see this bullying as an obstacle but as a challenge to fight for your dreams.

As her mother when you see your child with the potential, joy, excitement of something she loves. You can’t help but support and do all you can. Well, the next fashion show I took three of my other children. Needless to say, those three joined the modeling world as well. In order to make sure my children are safe and are not taken advantage of, I also am learning the process of the modeling industry. I want to help my children and any others I can help on this journey to get the opportunity. My children have faith and are humble, So, I do what I can as I enjoy the smiles on their faces when they walk the runway or take these amazing photos. Thank You , AC Akella Cook Clore

Actor Martyn Hale
Hello, my name is Martyn Hale. I was born and raised in Alma, Michigan, where I enjoyed all things outdoors. Some of my favorites were football, basketball, snowboarding, and baseball. My dream was to be a professional baseball player or actor. From as far back as I can remember, I was always insecure about my weight due to relentlessly bullying and ridicule for being chubby. One afternoon, after what seemed like at the time, the worst days of being bullied, I came home early from school. I had always dreamed of maybe becoming an actor if the baseball thing didn't work out. Google that day introduced me to Barbizon Acting and Modeling School. Being excited after reviewing their website, I filled out a questionnaire. It was about two weeks later when I received a postcard in the mail from Barbizon. Imagine my excitement at being accepted into their program, to take place during my senior year of high school. Sharing my excitement with my classmates did not meet with my expected response. Those whom I thought were my friends laughed in my face and told me that it must be a scam. Who would want me as a model they said? Despite their skepticism, during this time with
Barbizon I fell in love with acting and decided to pursue it as a career. After meeting and working with so many great people in my classes, my decision became more solidified. My hard work was rewarded as I graduated at the top of my class and was invited to attend the very first Barbizon Discovery Cruise, scheduled to set sail from Florida and float to the Cayman Islands that fall.
My first professional job after high school was acting in Real Steel, a movie for the famed DreamWorks. This project was filmed around Detroit Michigan. My grandfather's birthday happened to fall during the filming of Real Steel, and I was able to get Hugh Jackman to sign a DVD of his movie Australia as a present for my grandfather. Real Steel was an excellent first experience that I will forever remember. Real Steel wrapped up and it was time for that cruise. During the seven-day cruise there were acting competitions and breakout sessions with many seasoned professionals. As the cruise came to a close, there was an award evening attended by agents and managers.
My dreams were coming true, as I received a record number of 16 callbacks after the awards ceremony. That meant I had 16 different agents /managers from around the world interested in representing me. After interviewing with each and every one of them, I had a very big decision to make. Researching each of my choices, I narrowed them down to three, and ended up deciding to be represented by Terrie Snell. Terry was a very special lady, my grandma's age, who had acted in many hit classic movies such as Home Alone and Rumor Has It, starring Jennifer Aniston. I would be flying for the first time from Michigan to Los Angeles to audition for the hit television show Shameless and Terry told me it would be huge if I were able to get cast. She directed that I study the script as best as I could while on the plane. Upon arrival in Burbank California, Terrie prepped me for my first audition as an actor. She made arrangements for me to be chauffeured to the Warner Brothers Studio the next day. After signing in, they brought back three actors at a time. It was extremely nerve-wracking to be auditioning in front of producers, directors, and writers at the same time. That first interview was the worst ever. It was over before I had a
chance to even speak, but Sherry encouraged me by saying "You have to do a hundred auditions before getting the coveted yes" and to keep up the great effort.
Acting, and thus auditioning, became my life and I really fell hard for it. Along came opportunities to work with NBA star Blake Griffin, as well as auditioning to be the red Power Ranger. It has been a privilege to audition for parts in Spider-Man movies and as the next Disney 365 host. Something new and exciting and different every day. My adrenaline was pumping when I received the call to audition for one of three lead roles in a movie called Coldwater. While a part was offered, it was not one of the roles I auditioned for. Filming took place in picturesque Malibu; California and every day was fun. One of my more exciting bookings was for a show called College Humor. During college humor, I had the Good Fortune to work with the Verizon commercial guy, Thomas Middleditch. Can you hear me now?
At this time, things were going great for me, but I took it all for granted! I was drinking alcohol every day. My manager Terry knew this and gave me many chances to make things right. Sally, at that time, I couldn't get my act together and eventually was dropped as an actor by my manager and agent. Devastated, I moved back to Michigan. Being back in the Midwest didn't keep me from getting into trouble with drugs and law enforcement. Ultimately, I was lucky to only receive probation. The following year, around my birthday, I got a call from the director for a production being filmed at Space Station Studios. They wanted me to be in a movie which was going to star Danny Glover. Gladly accepting, now was the time for me to try and put the pieces back together. I flew back to Los Angeles and filmed my scenes. After just three takes the director said, "Cut. Print. That was brilliant Marty." What a great feeling! For three years I did not receive one request to audition for any role or part. Late in 2016, I was booked for a movie that shot and filmed in Arizona, in which I was a supporting lead actor. The film is called Protocol 734. It was an ultra-low-budget flick
where I portrayed a police officer, but very fun. During this time, I did not stay sober, and was back to drinking. Protocol 734 won an award at the Action on Film Festival in California for Best Action Sequence. Shortly thereafter, I moved to Woodland Hills, California. While living back in California I was asked to be in a commercial for the LGBTQ community and also on the CBS television show, Let's Make a Deal. Thankfully, it did not take very long to book my next movie, Canaan Land, which will be released later this year. While it is a small role, I still thank God for the opportunity, because this was the beginning of my long climb back to being my true self. Because it keeps me inspired today, I am 10 months sober and I have two different movies in the works right now along with a television show with potential. Thank you for allowing me to be in your magazine and I hope my story can Inspire, motivate, and encourage others to chase their dreams.

Shamal Grassi He was born in La Spezia in 1981 and grew up in Sarzana. His is a family of artists and as a child he shows a strong creativity. His artistic career is formed through artistic studies, he graduated with honors at the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara. Carrara is famous all over the world for its precious marble and for its long sculptural tradition and Shamal begins to discover and love sculpture. After his studies he moved and lived for about two years in Macerata in the Marche, where he learned the art of majolica at a local ceramist. After various experiences, Shamal decided to dedicate himself definitively to his art, participating in many exhibitions and artistic events. His works can still be admired and bought at his studio "ARCA Bottega d'Arte" opened in 2013 in Sarzana. His workshop contains a sensitivity and a love out of the ordinary with his paintings, ceramics and illustrations and projects the visitor in a magical world, fairy, full of lights and colors ... Shamal's life was not easy, his painful experiences left scars on his artistic path, that's what he says about his work. "...It was not easy to transform the deep pain that I carry inside into something constructive, I did it and I do it this way; with my fairies and my art. The fairies that I represent in my works are the bridge between me and reality, the colors and shapes vary according to the abrupt oscillations of my mood. They look through wide open eyes at the world that observes them and judges them, waiting for freedom. In my paintings, colorful shapes try to give a soul to that canvas or white paper that is so difficult to cross and adorn themselves with a magical, sometimes witty or ironic, sometimes sensual, delicate, or traced to almost underline thick lines the tragedy that frequently accompanies a beauty outside the lines, the context and the social cages. The characters of my works are waiting for something, maybe a word or a whisper of love. My fairies are the vision of an archaic perfection like childhood, they are the mystery hidden in the dark garden or in the wheat field at night, they are the curiosity and the strength that drives us to explore it and maybe cross it looking for that door or passage that projects us beyond our fears, are fireflies lost forever between dream and reality that shining of their inner light finally say only one thing LOVE ME "

Art Deco Neon Ladies I began developing the visual concept of the Art Deco girls back in the 1985 when I worked in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, a quick car ride from downtown Chicago. They came about to a large degree because of my past employment in the mid 70's as the Store Superintendent of Bullocks Wilshire, Downtown Los Angeles. This store was the high society embodiment of Art Deco on the West Coast. We catered to the rich and famous plus the Hollywood elite. My normal daily attire was a three-piece suit, obviously. The store opened in 1929 at the height of the Art Deco movement. The interior of the store was replete with understated neon signage and displays. Please look up Bullocks Wilshire on Google in order to get the feel of the store. The thrust of my Art Deco Neon Lady concept was the amalgamation of Art Deco, neon lights, simple line female facial features, and the use of exotic colors not normally associated with portraits. We used to live in Barrington, Illinois at that time and our local jeweler, Issacs’s, and I stuck up a deal. He would design the jewelry and I would paint them into my pictures. We hung up the pictures, some of which you seen here in his gallery. what a way to grab a potential customer's attention! My wife, Maggie, coined the name Neon Ladies. If you wish to see more of my pieces or make any inquiries please go to Facebook and type in, de Selarom Exclusively, it is my name spelled backwards. This site is a closed Facebook group.
