School Update
What does the Board do? The Board of Trustees is committed to promoting academic excellence and ensuring that the school is maintained to the highest standards. This includes providing a safe and nurturing environment for the students and an educational program that promotes the mission of the school. We provide direction to the school management team in this fast changing-world so that the school can continue to evolve while maintaining Concordian values. Concordian values are integral part of our guiding principles during the Board’s decision-making process. The clearest example is reflected in the revised school Mission which was a result of lengthy discussions we had back in 2019. While ‘academic excellence’ is first mentioned, it is the strong Concordian values that we emphasized by including terms like moral, intellectual, leadership, dignity, integrity and compassion.

Why is serving on the Board of Trustees important to you? It is a privilege to personally have input at the policy level to steer the school where our children spend 16 years of their lives. What professional expertise do you bring to your role? I have a thorough knowledge of Thai and international higher educational systems through my experiences in university level international affairs. What makes Concordian’s Mission and Vision powerful for you? They are in alignment with my core educational beliefs. We focus on two points: academic excellence and ‘character’. It is a powerful combination, creating leaders who will make a positive impact.
What professional expertise do you bring to your role? With my background and experiences, I bring in the following skills - collaboration, communication, empathy and emotional intelligence. What makes Concordian’s Mission and Vision powerful for you? The school fosters dignity and compassion in its students, encouraging them to be moral and strive for excellence both academically and non-academically. When all these qualities are manifested, they could become great leaders that will make a difference. What would you like the Concordian Community to know about the Board of Trustees? The Board of Trustees focuses on students well-being and equity and ensures that every child can reach their highest potential.. We actively set strategic direction and plans, including the school’s goals and policies. We also work in collaboration with the management team to ensure that our goals and policies are being implemented throughout our community. The Board of Trustees has the overall responsibility and accountability for the school.

What would you like the Concordian Community to know about the Board of Trustees? The Board works closely with the school management team. We would like to communicate to the community what we have achieved and what we plan to do in the future to make the school even better!
Why is serving on the Board of Trustees important to you? I am interested in high quality educational systems. I believe that a person’s achievements in life are largely influenced by the education we receive during childhood. I want to make sure that the school is providing the best education system in a positive environment that allows all the students to reach their full potential.
