Grade 12 University Preparation Trip
Our work with Grade 12 began this year with our annual University Preparation trip to Pattaya. Our first stop was the breathtaking Sanctuary of Truth, a stunning architectural marvel that left us all in awe as we explored its intricate carvings and learned about its rich cultural significance. Sanctuary of Truth was the perfect start to the weekend as it put us all in a positive mind to tackle the rest of the activities planned for the weekend.
After arriving at our accommodation it was all systems go for the rest of the weekend as we worked on finalizing university lists, checking documentation was correct, updating CVs, signing up to application systems such as Commonapp and UCAS, and requesting Teacher References. In between these group activities we also spent a lot of time working individually with students on university essays, Thai medical portfolios and art portfolios.
We also had a very valuable talk by Mr. Jay, a successful IB graduate, who shared his invaluable insights into the college application process and his personal experiences as a university student.
The University Trip is such a key part of our student’s journey to university as it is an opportunity for them to complete many of the small but essential tasks that they need to apply to university. The Counseling Department would like to thank Khun Varnnee, Khun Kay, Mr. Jay, Ms. Mint and Ms. Fah for all of their support and valuable work over the weekend.
