Grade 5 Week Without Walls

The Grade 5 Week Without Walls trip is an important experience for our students. It supports their understanding of the unit of inquiry “Who We Are” in learning about adolescence, allowing them to grow personally, socially and physically. The trip provides students with opportunities to develop their independence, responsibility, organizational skills and team spirit. In addition, it also prepares our students for the transition into the MYP.

This year, some of the fun and purposeful activities the Grade 5 students participated in included team building activities at True Arena and Vana Nava Water Park, eco printing at Artist Village Hua Hin, and nature education and tree planting at Pranburi Forest Park. These experiences helped students to bond with each other and to grow as individuals.

The trip received great feedback from students and teachers alike. When asked why this trip was meaningful they had this to say:

The trip was meaningful for me because it allowed the students and teachers to experience fun, interesting activities together. I especially enjoyed planting the trees near the ocean because we did something positive for the environment that will have lasting effects.

We got to spend time with friends and practice time management.

We got to experience going to a new place without our parents. We also had to work with a group.

Dol

We got to learn how to be independent and not need our parents or teachers help with things.

Drake

I had to be responsible for myself and my stuff. Especially when I had to pack everything that I needed and take care of myself.
