I

n Khao Yai week without walls, I had a lot of fun and educational experiences. The trip was worthwhile and beneficial. It was good that I got to hang out with my friends and had a good time during the trip. I think this week without walls trip would be a good experience for all students.

In Khao Yai, I got to do many fun activities. For example: an obstacle course, games, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, create energy bars, etc. The activities we got to do were all fun and things got competitive when we tried to see who was the fastest in kayaking and who could climb the most in rock climbing. We even got to sleep in the same room as our friends! Not only was the week without walls trip fun but it was also educational. We got to make energy bars and build shelters so in the future, we could apply the knowledge that we learned when it is necessary. The things that we learned from week without walls will be beneficial for ourselves. While we learned new things, it was not boring which made us feel like we were not being forced, so we were able to enjoy ourselves. In the end, we got to celebrate with a barbecue for week without walls. My experience in Khao Yai was worthwhile. I recommend that everyone get to go to this week without walls. It will let you make new friends and learn new skills. You will have a great time!

By: Hui Hui, Temmy, Poon, Elia, and Mimi We enjoyed ourselves in Khao yai for WWW this year because it was such a fun trip. We did amazing activities, ate amazing dishes, and most importantly learnt many amazing new things. As a group of friends, everyone loves WWW. Learning outside school makes everything more interesting.

Day 1

Day 3

Day 2

Day 4

We arrived at school in the morning and greeted each other as it was a really typical thing to do. But what isn’t typical! We were going to WWW for 5 days; staying with each other for 5 days! We sat on the bus and chatted, ate snacks, played games, and slept. The bus took around 3 hours and everyone was pretty happy when we finally arrived. The school there is just surrounded by nature; full of greenery. After a hearty lunch, we did some shelter building and long ropes.

We went straight to Khao Yai National Park. We hiked for about 3 km from Dong Tiew to Nong Pak Chi. Throughout the hike we saw very amazing views. The weather was very nice and we enjoyed the breeze. When we hiked through the forest and learned many things about the different trees and their properties. After we finished the hike, we ate lunch and went to the Khao Yai elephant center. We got a warm welcome by a dog named Singto; he was so cute and smart. We did many things in the elephant center. After learning about the importance of protecting elephants, we fed some elephants with corn and bananas.

Day 3 was basically the most adventurous day of the trip. We started off by climbing a real rock. There were different paths you can try to climb. When we climbed to the top and looked down, we felt really proud at ourselves each and every time. We then had lunch and went kayaking. The river has really slow currents, so we enjoyed the view. When we kayaked, we could feel the nice breeze. We just loved kayaking. After we went back to school, we had a Campfire BBQ Dinner. Many people enjoyed going to Burg Barn Buri Farm. When we arrived there, the wind blew gently, and we smelled the rice from the patties. We had a tour around the farm and the designs were just amazing. The farm only used natural materials. I was surprised to see that even the sink was made out of bamboo. We then went to the ceramic workshop. We got creative and created many things including cups, bowls, or even plates with our initials on it. We learned about making advertisement and started our brand for banana sweets. We picked our own veggies, herbs, and other ingredient to cook for dinner.

Day 5

We woke up in the morning and had breakfast like usual. We enjoyed drawing our IDU poster, talking, laughing, and sharing our ideas. After that, we went to the chocolate factory and learned about chocolate history. We then tasted many kinds of chocolate until we got a sugar rush. What was fun about the chocolate factory was that we could draw on our chocolate bar using dyed chocolate paint. We were painting and eating at the same time. We had an awesome lunch with chocolate milk after that. Then, we headed back to school. Throughout the bus ride, we had lots and lots of fun. When we arrived, we were all felt exhausted. Deeply inside, we felt like it was our happiest moments. We can’t wait for next year’s WWW.
