Dramatic Reading Middle School
On November 2nd, 2022, students from Grades 6-8 participated in our sixth Middle School Dramatic Reading event. This year’s event showcased 17 amazing students, presenting both solo recitations and small group performances. All dramatic text selections were independently chosen by the students based on their own personal interests.

On our return to the stage after a year-long hiatus, we had some wonderfully diverse selections, ranging from original poetry, novel excerpts, and even some humorous tales about a moth named Harry. The audience had an engaging time and relished the vocal exhibition from our vibrant Middle School ensemble.
Dramatic Reading is an opportunity for students to explore their own interests in literature and a variety of texts, whilst bolstering their vocal presentation skills. What is more, the event is student-led and gives our students an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their ATL skills in an authentic manner. Once again, it was a wonderful show and we hope to continue this dynamic event from the English Department for many years to come.
