Spirit Week Spirit Week

The final week of school in 2022 was an exciting time at Concordian. The Concordian Student Council worked to organize events and activities for all of our Concordian PYP students. We had a full week of exciting fun!

Monday, December 12th, was Snow Day and Concordian students got a little taste of winter. Students walked through a field of gently falling snow to arrive at the dome where ice-cold frosty mounds waited for their arrival. Wearing their warmest gloves and boots, they worked to make sculptures and played with the snow that had miraculously fallen in the dome at Concordian. When they got too cold, warm mugs of hot cocoa were waiting to help them warm up their freezing fingers.

On Wednesday, December 14th, Concordian was visited by animals from all over the world. Students came to our biggest petting zoo ever, dressed in their best Christmas character costumes. Concordian students were able to feed many different animals like baby goats and sulcata tortoises. Our most courageous students cuddled with and handled snakes, owls and even baby pigs. Our PYP students were reminded that we share the planet with many different creatures and that they need food and care to survive and thrive.

Finally on Friday, December 16th, our students said goodbye to their school for 2022. The chorus from the Redemptorist School for the Blind in Pattaya came to Concordian to share the holiday spirit. Our lobby and the amphitheater were filled with their angelic voices singing joyous Christmas carols. The PYP Student Council read a story to the students of Concordian and were interrupted by The Grinch. Luckily, Santa came to save the day and distributed gifts to all of the good boys and girls of Concordian. It truly was a magical ending for 2022. The students left for their holiday with Christmas cheer in their hearts and a giant cookie as well!
