A Night of US College Admissions Insights at Concordian International School
n September 19th, 2024, Concordian International School hosted a highly successful college admissions event, providing students and parents with valuable information on applying to selective universities. The evening featured engaging sessions, expert discussions, and a mini-university fair.
The session, Applying to Selective Universities, experienced admissions officers from Babson College, Boston University and Wake Forest University shared strategies for applying to highly selective institutions, emphasizing the importance of academic rigor, extracurricular involvement, and demonstrated passion for specific subjects and universities.
In the second session, The Role of the College Essay, representatives from Bentley University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Rochester and University of Wisconsin-Madison discussed the importance of storytelling, authenticity, and showcasing unique qualities.
The evening concluded with a mini-university fair, where the informal setting allowed for personalized questions about each institution’s programs, campus life, and admissions procedures.
