November is the month of America Recycles Day, but we at CondorLiving want to do our part to ensure we are contributing to our environment every day. You can help by taking the extra time to follow the recycling rules at Eagan Heights. You took the time to collect your recycling — make sure it doesn’t end up in the trash! Please read the information below to see which items are recyclable and which might contaminate the recycling, causing the entire container to be refused.

Paper - Newspapers and inserts - Envelopes and junk mail - Paper of all colors (Post-Its okay!) - Phone books - Brochures - Magazines and catalogs - Grocery bags Cardboard - Cardboard boxes - Regular and frozen food boxes - Milk cartons - File folders - Poster board

QUICK TIP When recycling, ensure your items are EMPTY, CLEAN, and DRY!

Aluminum/Metal - Aluminum/tin beverage cans - Food cans Other - Glass bottles and jars - Clean wood Plastic Plastics marked 1, 2, and 5, such as: - Water bottles - Take-out containers - Soda bottles *Please check the reverse side for more info on plastic recycling at your community. Plastic Bags Dakota county no longer allows plastic retail bags to be recycled. However, you can take these bags to the grocery store to be recycled properly. Remember, no plastic garbage bags are allowed in the community recycle bins. Please place your recyclable items in paper bags, or don’t use a bag at all, and carry your recycling to the community bins in the container you use to collect it in your home.
