MISSION: We provide information, education and guidance to the Hispanic community of NW Florida and the bordering towns of Alabama. VISION: To play a positive role in helping the Hispanic community in our region integrate into the different communities in which they live. CONEXIÓN will be the BRIDGE that CONNECTS businesses and other entities to the growing Hispanic market! CONEXIÓN is a bilingual (Spanish primary and with certain articles printed in both Spanish and English) publication printed in a tabloid style. Our standard sections include: Immigration, Law, Health and Nutrition, Sports and Recreation, Community events, Entertainment, Culture, Classifieds, Latin American, US and International News. It will include a section profiling leading Hispanics and Non-Hispanics in our region, as well as a “Learning English” section that also will serve as a tool for Non-Hispanics to learn Spanish! Special columns from leading national writers will also be featured periodically. CONEXIÓN will be distributed in over 100 distribution spots in the NW Florida and border towns of Alabama area. Our editorial content is produced in the most professional manner both by our staff as well as collaborators from throughout our area. As leaders and professionals, the primary objective of the Team that comprises CONEXIÓN will be to “Serve the growing Hispanic community of NW Florida and the bordering towns of Alabama” via quality content, professional graphic design and all that entails a quality publication. For you, our advertising customers, we will provide an affordable media outlet that will be your KEY to reach the thousands of Hispanics living in our distribution area! As our name implies, “CONEXIÓN” is the “linkage between Hispanics” in the NW Florida area and helps promote the varied cultures, customs, folklore, food and music of the 21 nations that make up the Hispanic community of the world.

Pick-up spots include the Base Exchanges at Hurlburt Field and Eglin and the Hurlburt Field Commissary, FWB Winn-Dixies, several public libraries and the FWB Chamber’s lobby. We are attempting to get it to the 7th Special Forces Group, NAS Pensacola, and Tyndall AFB. 3

The combined income of Hispanics in NW Florida is 1.4 billion

The combined income of Okaloosa County Hispanics is approximately 300 million

Home ownership is at 54%, and the percentage of Hispanic students in Florida classrooms (K-12) is 27%

In the NW Florida, the percentage of Hispanics varies from 2.1 % in Washington County to 9.5 % in Gadsden (Quincy) County. Okaloosa County is 4.7 %
