#2 A Horse with No Name? Name the Horse! There’s something magical about naming a horse. When naming a horse, you want to choose a name that will be the perfect fit. Congressional School’s newest horse needs a name, and this is a special opportunity for your child to NAME THE HORSE! The equine staff is handing the “creative reins” over to your family and giving your child the chance to name the newest four‐legged member of our community! This horse is a male (gelding), 9 years old, flaxen chestnut (reddish brown (chestnut) body, with a blonde (flaxen) mane and tail), and stands about waist‐high (to an adult) at the shoulder. He’s also super curious . . . he’s the first one to walk over and say hi to a new person, or to stick his nose somewhere that it doesn’t belong ‐ like the tack room! In additional to bestowing a name on our horse, your child will receive a private 30‐minute lesson, will have a photo opportunity with the horse, and will be front‐and‐center as the new horse will be the “featured horse” at the equine departure event in October as our herd heads to their winter stables. The name must be appropriate for our community, may not be the name of another horse already in our community, and is subject to approval by the equine staff. Private lesson at a mutually agreeable date and time before October 31, 2018.
