PICTUREPLANE

Back in February, I was able to work with Pictureplane, Travis Egedy, while he was in Austin holding an art show. We met at this massive warehouse over on the east side called The Museum Of Human Achievement. I was pretty nervous going to meet him because I knew he was a legend in the scene and from the way he texted me at first, I thought he was gonna be a dickhead. But he is actually one of the nicest people I will ever meet. While working, we talked about the different types of music he enjoyed, his thoughts on Extraterrestrial Life, starting his clothing brand Alien Body, and the many people he worked with. After the shoot and all the photos were done, they were posted to different social media sites where all of my idols were able to like the pictures. He also used one of the pictures for an insert on his new album, DEGENERATE. By working with Travis, I have been able to work with other musicians I look up to and make a bigger name for myself in the underground msic scene.

GOTHBOICLIQUE

If there is one group of individuals I would have to thank for inspiring me and getting me through life, it would be GothBoiClique. From finding out about Wicca Phase Springs Eternal my freshman year, to hanging out with JPDREAMTHUG and Lil Skil, and finally filming for more than half the group, I have loved every moment of talking with them and listening to their music. GBC was having a show in Houston, with members Wicca Phase, Coldhart, Horse Head, and NEDARB as their DJ. Without anyones knowledge, they had special guests such as Lil Peep, YAWNS, JPDREAMTHUG, and Lil Skil with them. I had talked to Coldhart before the show and he was gonna perform a song for my then girlfreind. Everything went well with that and I was able to meet all of them after the show. They were all so nice and introduced themselves. I was able to finally meet with these people I had looked up to for so long. I stayed in contact with them through the year and was able to film for Wicca Phase in May and held a show for Coldhart, Horse Head, and JPDREAMTHUG through the clothing brand I work for, CORRUPT CLOTHING, back in March. I have been lucky enough to become friends with these people and I am very thankful that I have been acquainted with them.

MISERY CLUB

IIn May, Wicca Phase was doing a tour with other members of Misery Club, Fantasy Camp and Lil Zubin. JPDREAMTHUG was also playing with them while they were in Texas. I knew I could have the chance to film, so I contacted Fantasy Camp to see if they had anyone filming. He told me they didn’t, so I asked if I could. He asked the rest of the guys and they were okay with it, so I got the chance to film for them. I never would have imagined that I would ever get to film for Wicca Phase, or any of the other people in Misery Club, considering they became extremely popular in the short amont of time they’ve been around. It was really great getting to talk with Fantasy Camp about his early career, which was mainly producing. We talked about him producing Wicca Phase’s first album and the many other musicians he has produced for. Zubin was a very funny guy with a great personality and was just very fun to talk with. I hope to see Misery Club grow and can’t wait to hear their next album.

CORDUROY HANDGUN

A couple months ago, my two best friends decided that they wanted to start creating their own music. With almost all of our friends being musicians, it’s hard not to be musically inclined in our group. Christian, being the creator of CORRUPT, and Avery, just being one of our good friends, came up with the idea of Corduroy Handgun. Both of them are very inspired by early Tyler, The Creator and other musicians such as Kevin Abstract. The music is very rough and grainy and is hardcore. With lyrics such as “I sold my white bitch to ISIS” and “Corduroy go harder than the gas station pills that I bought for my dick, before I fuck your daughter,” their debut EP will be very intereting to hear and I know their music will have a very big impact. Their first perfroamnce will be at the CORRUPT FASHION SHOW early next year.

DESPAIR

Thor and I didn’t start shooting until 2017, but we had known each other for more than 7 years. Since I first met Thor, I always looked up to him and was always interested with what he was doing. I was reintroduced to Thor my freshman year when his cousin showed me his music. He had just produced for Lil Peep, who I didnt know anything about at the time, and I was very impressed. I continued to listen to his music and maybe have small conversations with him over twitter. We hadn’t become reaqcuainted until last year, when his cousin told him about me being a cameraman and he wanted me to film for him. The first day we hung out, we filmed a teaser for a new album he was releasing and a whole video for his song ‘Demons’. Since then, we have hung out almost every weekend, filmed 3 more videos, and taken a lot of pictures. Almost everything we do is documented, and will one day be released. I am so proud of everything Thor has done and can’t wait to keep seeing what he does. I’m very happy that he has become one of my best friends.

BROKEN CLASSIC

Matt and I originally got off to a rough start. We liked each other, but their was always a very hostile feeling between us. Sometimes, we would act like we were just messing around, but we were actually trying to piss each other off. Nowadays, Matt and I are constantly giving each other ideas and spending a lot of time together. We can always talk about old or new metal, different styles of music, and watch a lot of ‘Clerks’. I didn’t start filming for him until the first CORRUPT show and I was very entertained by his performance. A crowd of around 200 people yelled at him, telling him to take his shirt off, and so he did. Every show after that, he takes his shirt off and always gives an extreme and entertaining set. Currently, there is a collab album between Matt and Boodang coming soon, and we will have videos coming out for it.

BOODANG

Boodang is the most electrifying man in the local rap scene. If you need someone to bring up the energy, he is your man. Boodang has been apart of the San Marcos scene for a while now and expands everytime he releases a new song. He came to the first CORRUPT show and I didn’t know him then. One day, he just started tagging me in all of his music, and he seemed pretty dedicated, so I gave it a listen. I was instantly blown away, with references towards different movies and Tommy Wright III. I instanly messaged him and talked to him about Tommy and how long he had been making music. He informed me of a show he was doing and wanted me to come film, so I told him yes. When I arrived to the venue, the first thing I thought was that he looked like Riff Raff. We talked and got to know each other a bit more, and then he performed. He made the crowd go wild and I knew he was going to be something big. I’ve filmed three shows for him since then and will be working on a video with him and Broken Classic.

TOMMY WRIGHT III

Tommy Wright III is the legend of the underground scene. Tommy was blowin up at the same time as 36 Mafia, but unfortunately, he was arrested and never got the chance to grow. When he got out, everyone had moved on and he had to rebuild his name again. Now, he is selling out shows and making crowds lose their minds. Tommy Wright III has succesfully regained his popularity and is now an underground legend. With people coming to his shows from all over the U.S., you know he really effects people with his performances. He and I met at the first CORRUPT show, which he was headlining, and was very happy that I was dedicated to filming for him. He was telling me that most people don’t care and aren’t focused on him when they’re filming. He paid me for my footage. We exchanged numbers, and I have filmed every show he has done in Texas since. I am very thankful for Tommy and all the support he has given to CORRUPT CLOTHING and me. “Tommy Wright I Creep At Night”
