Wow, you have to share it! Some of them have seen the light written on different publications...but most of them were part of my closely guarded repertoire and I never thought about the chance of publishing the material you are about to read. But Piet Forton, the old Piet, looked into my eyes very seriously as he only knows how to look, and immediately he said: ¡You have to share that with the magic comunity! This was two years ago, in that lovely restaurant in which the famous Jornadas Cartomágicas del Escorial should take place. That night, at the wee hours of the morning, I made a promise myself that today will see the light: I made the promise of publishing all the effects based upon the torn and restored card plot that marvelled Piet...all the slights, subtleties, psychology and elaborate routines. I include nothing I did not explain to Piet and I didn’t bring out anything i was going to hide. This is it, as it is...as many times i performed it. Card Cemetery is a work written in six days only, but the elaboration is a whole life of dedication. A life that ends here within this cemetery made of sheets, pages and words...to rest until the end of times. Here lie all my routines. Dani DaORTIZ
