So far I have placed two markers on my 25+h Magic Year. First, my publication ''Tricks with Watches," which I felt was needed to fill a gap on a much needed magic subject. Inspired by the thought that magic is not exempt from giving up tricks made of essential materials, during wartime led me to experiment with paper cups. So now my pecond marker, "Tricks with Paper Cups." Th,e possibilities with paper cups were truly a revelation. Perhaps you have not been aware of the beauty, and durability of the modern paper cup. Here are four things that should make "tricks with paper cups" a favorite with magicians. 1. 2. 3. 4.

Paper cups are accepted as a common everyday necessity They are obtainable practically everywhere Low cost—an expenditure of but a few cents a trick The ease of preparation

Several effects in the book are adaptations from standard effects. However, you will find tricks that are both new in effect and principle that have never been used before. It is my desire that the magical innovations herein offered may afford you some happy hours, and if doing them will give pleasure to others, then it has served its purpose. your magic servant
