Day 3 - Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Megiddo, Cana, Nazareth Village Begin your journey of a lifetime today as you visit Caesarea on the Mediterranean Sea, where Paul made his defense before Festus and King Agrippa prior to his final journey to Rome (Acts 25 & 26). Look out over the Valley of Jezreel from the heights of Mount Carmel. On this mount, Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18). Visit Megiddo and the Valley of Armageddon (Revelation 16). Recall Jesus’ first miracle as you pass through Cana (John 2). Visit Nazareth, Jesus' boyhood home (Matthew 2). Day 4 – Nof Ginosar, Boat Ride, Peace Overlook, Golan Heights, Dan, Caesarea Philippi At Kibbutz Nof Ginnosar, learn about the “Ancient Boat”, a rare example of the kind of boat in which Jesus would have sailed. Enjoy a boat ride on the waters of the Sea of Galilee. Get a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee at the Peace Overlook. Travel

Beit Shean

through the Golan Heights and better understand their strategic importance to the security of Israel. Journey to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter proclaimed, "You are the Christ" (Matthew 16). Day 5 – Khorazim, Mt. of Beatitudes, Capernaum, Kursi, Sea of Galilee, Jordan River Walk through the ancient remains of the city of Khorazim (Matthew 11), another of the “cities of woe” that was used as an example for judgment by our Lord. Look upon the fields where Jesus taught at the Mount of the Beatitudes (Matthew 5-7). A beautiful chapel has been built here to commemorate these precious words of truth. Travel to Capernaum, and stand in the ruins of the synagogue built atop the remains of the one in which Jesus taught. On the far shore of the sea is Kursi where Jesus cast out evil spirits from a demon-possessed man and cast them into a herd of swine which ran violently down a steep hill and drowned in the sea (Mark 5). Remember your baptism at the Yardenit Baptismal site, where the Jordan River exits the Sea of Galilee on its journey southward (Matthew 3). Day 6 – Beth Shean, Harod (Gideon’s Spring), Masada, Qumran, Dead Sea Swim Visit ruins of Beth Shean and explore the impressive excavations of Scythopolis, one of the ten cities of the Decapolis. Stop at Ein Harod (Judg. 7), the spring where Gideon gathered his men to fight the Midianites. Travel down the Jordan Valley to Jericho where one can view the traditional site of the Temptation of Jesus (Matt. 4).

Sea of Galilee

Your Journey of a Lifetime Includes: • Hotel Accommodations • Buffet Breakfast. Lunch and Dinner Daily • Tips and Taxes • English-Speaking Guides • Excellent Buses • Drivers • Roundtrip Airfare

Enjoy a visit to Masada, the spectacular mountaintop fortress built by Herod and famous as the last stronghold of the Jewish rebellion against the Romans. Ride the cable car to the top to explore the fortress. Peer down upon the remains of the Roman camps and siege ramp below. Travel to Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scroll discovery, to discuss the mysterious community of the Essenes who once lived on the shores of the Dead Sea. On the way to Jerusalem, stop at the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth, where those who desire may take a quick dip in its waters. Our final stop is Jerusalem where we can check into our hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 7 – Mt. of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Ascension Site, Western Wall, Rabbi’s Tunnel, Shrine of the Book – Model City Stand atop the Mount of Olives, where Jesus died, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven 40 days after His resurrection (Acts 1). Pray in the Garden of Gethsemane among Olive Trees in the Kidron Valley across from the walls of Jerusalem. Visit the Western (Wailing) Wall. Follow the Herodian Support Wall and walk on First Century pavement in the Rabbi's Tunnel. Visit the Israel Museum and see the Model of 1st Century Jerusalem and the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. Day 8 – Temple Mount, Pool of Bethesda, Herod’s Palace, Garden Tomb, Gordon’s Calvary See the Temple Mount, once the site of the Temple of Solomon and Herod. Stand on the location of the Pool of Bethesda where the Lord healed a lame man (John 5). Visit the location where Herod’s Palace once stood. Worship at the Garden Tomb, one of the traditional sites of the garden of Joseph of Arimathea, and experience the reality of the resurrection. Sense the agony of Christ’s crucifixion at Gordon’s Calvary (Luke 23). Day 9 – Ophel, Pool of Siloam, Caiaphas’ House, Old City Stand on the steps of the Pool of Siloam, where Jesus healed the blind man (John 9). Walk through some of the ancient rooms of Caiaphas' the High Priest's house. Journey through the Old City to the Cardo. This ancient marketplace, situated among modern shops, has ruins that date back to the Judean monarchy. Day 10 – Depart Tel Aviv for the USA Return home with a lifetime of memories to share! HEALTH DISCLAIMER FOR TRAVEL: Passengers registering for the tour accept the responsibility for being in good health and able to walk and travel on the tour. Because many of the sites in Israel are not accessible to the physically challenged, those needing wheelchairs, oxygen, or other ambulatory assistance will find the tour extremely limiting in their experiences. If you have questions, please contact Noseworthy Travel for more details.
