READING

This is Susie Nightingale. She may look like a stranger, but you may know her from her book reviews published on tscpl.org through our Review New Books @ Your Library program. She encourages you to join in on the fun. Participants select from newly released books that they can keep (What’s not to like about a free book?!). They read and write book reviews for tscpl.org. Susie says its benefits are twofold: It gives her a writing outlet, and it provides members of the community a place to read reviews of what she calls an “intriguing mix” of fiction and non-fiction. “It benefits me because I read books that I wouldn’t have otherwise read,” she said. “It broadens my scope, and I was ready for a change.” Susie says she’s grown as a person through her participation and encourages others to come grow with her. If you would like to review new books at your library, come to the library Tue., May 12 or look for more information on page 12.
