again to the Annual Joint Venture Bull Sale
Another year, another sale The annual Joint Venture bull sale is something we always look forward to, not only because it is our major source of income for the year, but because of the event it has become It is one of the few days where we get to see a large group of our customers/friends together having a great conversation and sharing a laugh We are grateful that over the last few years, even though it has been trying, that we have been able to maintain this day
The backbone of our operation is the cows We have, for years, tried to assemble a group of females that are easy doing, attractive looking with great udders and feet These traits were fairly noticeable last winter Lets just say the silage pile was a little smaller than planned, and yet the cows on what can only be described as a restricted winter “diet” passed the test They bred back with the same big calves We would invite anyone to stop in and see these females with calves at side, before sale day
Now, onto the bulls This years group is led off by Metric, a young sire that we feel is as high quality as weve ever raised He is flanked by a string of very consistent yearling bulls and a group of two year olds that were specifically held out of the sale pen, with the intention to highlight this years sale These bulls are all responsibly grown on TMR, consisting of chopped hay, cereal silage and the Bullseye feeds bull developer pellet This ration is not designed to break weight gain records, though as you will find the bulls have gained very well Longevity is our end goal, and not only have these bulls been fed for it, they have been bred for it! Trust this group to get out and do their job for you
Looking forward to seeing everyone sale day,
Rainbow Red Angus

RED RAINBOW Metric 106K
I'm not exactly sure where to start with Metric. I don’t know if we’ve raised a bull of this calibre before, he's been an absolute standout from the night he was born. Mothered by a cow who has been a do it all kinda female the last few years. The Doll cow family is a mainstay around here, 46B has averaged over $22000 on her last 3 bulls and is the dam of maybe the most cherished young cows in our herd. Metric’s sire LWNBRG Slowburn 102H is maybe the hottest bull going right now, we were lucky enough to get in on the ground floor. Metric himself is what we have been trying to produce in our breeding program. He is stout made, big boned, correct in his skeletal build with awesome feet. Coming out with a user friendly birth weight, this stud has done nothing but pack on the pounds. There's added frame and don’t worry about his calves being born outside in winter, he might have some of the thickest ears we’ve had on a red angus. This is a bull that can play a big part of breeding red angus cattle in the future. Selling 50% semen interest, 50% possession. Call Kolby for details.
RED RAINBOW Boss 2K
Big, burly dude here. 2K is loaded with maternal merit, being sired by Boss, and out of the Larakaba cow family. His dam is a maternal sister to last years high seller, Concorde. Lots of power, style and muscle to burn, this guy would work great on a set of cows looking to make fantastic replacement females and stout, heavy steer calves.
Recommended for cows.

Our only black/red carrier on offer this year, and he is a brute. We really appreciated the job Sitz Stellar had done, and when the opportunity came to use what many considered his best son, it was a no brainer. 41K has added bone, mass and hair along with a dam that has a great track record of making functional bulls and females.

Everyone through the pen finds this moderate framed brick. The Seneca’s have been popular cattle throughout North America and 24K shows exactly why. Generations of calving ease built into this guy, throw him on the heifers and just watch them calve.

RED RAINBOW Assassin
You really have to appreciate the mother of this guy, shes one of the best looking cows around here. 22K himself is a son of the proven Assasin, a past $77000 high seller for Cockburn Red Angus. Stout made, extra masculinity and character in this smooth made bull.

Maternal Brothers
Lot 67, 68 & 69 are three straight black angus brothers out of our Renovation donor. The two Barricade sons are ET’s and the Stellar is one of a set of identical natural born twins. As a group they are very similar, big bodied, stout made and good haired. Individually they are very appealing as breeding bulls.

TWO-YEAR-OLD BULLS
These two year olds are holdovers, not leftovers. They were managed with last years sale bulls, then put to grass in May with no additional supplementation. They were then brought home early November and started on a TMR mid-November. Trust on these guys to carry the same quality as the yearlings just with some extra age and maturity.
