“The Bright Lights of Broadway” is theme of half-time show
The 2011 half-time show for the Ranburne High School Marching Bulldog Band is entitled “The Bright Lights of Broadway.” The show this year opens with the familiar main theme from “Phantom of the Op-
era”. The band then features the danceline with “All That Jazz” from the musical “Chicago.” Next, the band shows off its’ softer side with “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Miserables” featur-
ing a trumpet duet by Kayla Dunson and Lexi Tate. Finally, the closer begins with the popular hit “On Broadway” before featuring the percussion section. The main themes of the show all re-
turn for an exciting finish! The band is under the direction of Jeff Carpenter, and is under the field direction of Head Drum Major Katie Wood and Assistant Drum Major Taylor Tate.
