Self-published author gets unusual deal NEW YORK — Self-publishing author John Locke has made an untraditional deal with a traditional publisher. Late game releases could save the day This year has been pathetic in terms of good software for the major gaming consoles. Fortunately, some well-timed releases for the holiday season could save the day. Sure, there have been a few good games put out in 2011 — Valve’s “Portal 2” and Rockstar’s Chris “L.A. Noire” come to Pittman mind. Those are the iSpy two games that I’ve purchased this year and I have yet to insert them into my console. I will when the time is right, of course, but I’ve yet to hear a defining reason to play them now. There are a few games on the horizon that I’ll be playing on day one. Below are the four titles that I absolutely have to play before year’s end. “Gears of War 3” — Xbox 360 The third chapter in the “Gears of War” franchise is shaping up to be the best yet. The team at Epic has worked on eliminating many of the criticisms from the previous titles in the series. A multiplayer beta was conducted this spring to give the team a chance to iron out any bugs before the game ships next month. My most anticipated feature is the addition of four-player cooperative play. Gears of War has been one of the more enjoyable co-op experiences for me this generation, and doubling the number of players will only make it better. “Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” — PC/ Playstation 3/Xbox 360 Bethesda’s massive open-world title could be the best game released this year. Everything in the “Elder Scrolls” series is big. The towns, dungeons and character dialog are unparalleled. The producer estimates it will take more than 300 hours to fully experience everything the game has to offer … and he’s being generous. The design team has worked to make sure “Skyrim” is the most engrossing title in the series. Each

non-playable character has been blessed with an incredible amount of artificial intelligence, which gives them free reign to do whatever they want for the most part. These characters will interact with the player based on random factors. This will go a long way in assuring the experience stays fresh throughout gameplay. Also, there are dragons. “Saints Row: The Third” — PC/ Playstation 3/Xbox 360 No game in recent memory is as over-the-top as Saints Row. The game essentially took everything that “Grand Theft Auto” created and did it better. Each iteration of Saints has taken an even stronger turn for the weird. This has made the series the current epitome of sandbox games. “Saints Row: The Third” is destined to be an excellent cooperative experience. You can play through the entire story with a friend. The second game featured similar co-op and I had a blast. My favorite activity in the game is called insurance fraud. You are given a time limit to cause as much damage in the streets as possible. Jumping in front of cars has never been so fun. Please, don’t try this at home. “The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword” — Nintendo Wii The game I’m absolutely dying to play is Link’s latest adventure, though I shouldn’t need to say much to get you excited about a new Zelda game. “Skyward Sword” takes a different approach to one of the greatest series of all time. This is a welcoming addition, as the old format was getting stale. I’m hoping this will turn out to be more like “Majora’s Mask” and less like “Twilight Princess.” The game requires Wii-Motion Plus to play. This will give you more control over Link than ever before. The game will be fantastic, that is for sure. The biggest question at this point is over the final boss. It won’t be Ganon this time, according to Nintendo.

The familial duo of Redfoo (Stefan Kendal Gordy) and Sky Blue (Skyler Austin Gordy), known for crazy outfits, wild hair and even wilder music, have proven their staying power three years after their initial hit, and have provided the song of the summer with “Party Rock Anthem.” Redfoo said he never had any doubt it would be a No.1 smash. “It had so many components. It had the feeling, the vibe. It had the epic. It had the classic dance break. It is like, ‘Everyone stop what you are doing — you have to move, right here.’” LMFAO are further burnishing their club credentials with a tour with dance queen Ke$ha. But the pair — who come from music royalty — insist there is more to them than party music. AP: What do you say to people who thought you would be a one-hit wonder? Redfoo: It is a big deal just to keep on your path. That is the biggest thing. Luckily, we are dreamers and we believe that whatever we are thinking, we are going to bring about in our life, kind of like “The Secret.” It has been really easy to stay focused. The haters want to hate. They want to talk about this and talk about that. We don’t even acknowledge it. AP: Do you feel like the reason your music is popular is because you tapped into something that wasn’t being widely represented? Redfoo: It was happening in the DJ world. Now that we party all of the time and are doing all of this stuff, I felt like I had to take it back to the roots of the body and get the stretch on, so I do yoga and martial arts. I do my best to eat raw food as much as I can and then drink and do what I do because it balances it out. AP: Your style of dress attracts a lot of attention. Do you feel that kind of attention stops people from taking you seriously as artists? Sky Blu: I think how we dress represents the music and the nature of us. We are happy people and we are on this earth to make people happy. We dress accordingly to that. We dress fly, flashy, fun. AP: You are both related to Motown Records founder Berry Gordy (Red Foo is his son, Sky Blu is his nephew). Has he been instrumental in guiding your careers? Redfoo: Definitely. He has been where we are now with all his artists, with Diana (Ross), Smokey, (Robinson), Marvin (Gaye), The Jackson 5. He is saying, “OK. You need this or you need to get on these shows.” Then will.i.am has been here, and he says, “You need to do ‘Good Morning America.’ You need to do this and that.” They are from two different times and they are both saying these things, and so we have the best of both worlds.

BILOXI, Miss. — Glen Campbell is having a great time. Make no mistake, it is tragic that Alzheimer’s disease is slowly stripping away the memories and abilities that define one of music’s greats. But dayto-day, surrounded by his family and friends, encouraged to play his guitar and sing and golf and joke, the 75-yearold Campbell is often smiling. “I’m really not worried about anything,” Campbell said. “You know those people who say, ‘Oh, geez, I wonder what’s going to happen tomorrow?’ Tomorrow’s cool. Just don’t mess it up. It’s just wonderful. I think where I am at right now in this universe, I wouldn’t want to be anything else than what I am.” Call it The Zen of Glen and it’s been reached through the hard work of his wife, Kim, his children and business associates who are often as close as family. They’ve created a carefully engineered environment meant to shelter and encourage Campbell at every turn, whether he’s at home or on the road. The Campbell family allowed The Associated Press a glance at the Country Music Hall of Fame member’s life during a recent visit to Biloxi, Miss.,

where Campbell played his first show last month since announcing he has Alzheimer’s, a degenerative brain disease that so far has proven incurable. That show was a dry run in preparation for a string of dates this summer and fall overseas, and for a goodbye tour next year in support of his last studio album, Ghost on the Canvas, out next Tuesday. “What’s really fun is it’s not like work now because I’ve got my kids here, and my wife here, and they’re all playing,” Campbell said. There are indeed moments of confusion, memories that refuse to coalesce and words for simple things that remain just out of reach. But for the most part, Campbell doesn’t realize he has Alzheimer’s. He’s untroubled by the gravity of it all. “We call it part-timers,” Kim said. “You just never know. Some days are great, and some days he maybe repeats himself a little. On stage a couple of times he might forget what key a song is in, which 20 years ago might never happen.” It started with simple forgetfulness about 10 years ago. Early on, doctors gave less dire diagnoses. As it advanced, there was confusion and anxiety: The family wonders if the disease contributed to a short return to drinking that resulted in a drunken

driving arrest in 2003. Kim is afraid Glen’s slipping from the early stage to the middle stage of the disease, and there’s no predicting how long he’ll be able to perform. The album and tour dates are the family’s way of helping him stay anchored in the present. “I do get nervous about his ability to stay on track and read his teleprompter and remember his chords,” Kim said. “So far everything’s been pretty good. Eventually I expect if this progresses as it normally does, we’ll start to have problems. So we’re preparing to get him off the road and retire, but we wanted to go out with a bang.” The power music has to preserve what Campbell has left is on display any time he picks up a guitar. His fingers appear to have forgotten nothing and still float over the strings. Campbell is learning to play songs for his live shows, actively battling Alzheimer’s by making and retaining new memories, forcing his brain to not only remember but also to help him excel. “There are a lot of new treatments he’s trying out,” said his grandson Shannon. “Nobody’s ever been cured before, but people are pretty hopeful about these treatments he’s been trying. We’re just keeping our fingers crossed.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Zac Brown Band’s first thought has always been the fan when it comes to live music, but this time they say they’re taking it to another level with a “huge shindig.” The band is hosting a three-day food and music festival Oct. 21-23 at Riley Park in Charleston, S.C., that will feature a new experience for a couple hundred VIPs. “This is a big statement for us,” Brown said. “This is a sign of the future, of how we’re going to be approaching our fans and our shows and our Southern Ground festivals.” Brown said the stage will extend to the right and to the left of general admission and stage boxes will be set up on each side. Fans in these areas will be served food prepared by chefs throughout the day. Brown’s also taking over all the concessions in the park. “This is real wine and real food,” Brown said. “It’s not just what’s cheap. It’s not a $12 bag of nachos with some Cheez Whiz on them.” Jack Daniel’s will have a presence at the festival under a new partnership with the band. It’s the first formal sponsorship deal with a music act in more than a decade for the whiskey maker. “What we liked about the Zac Brown Band in particular was they are someone who could play the Ryman one night and Bonnaroo or Coachella the next night,” said Jeff Arnett, Jack Daniel’s master distiller. A lineup and more details about the festival will be released at a later date.

The new version of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is entirely too literal, but it still manages to be a literally hair-raising piece of modern-style old school Gothic horror. The involvement of writer-producer Guillermo (Pan’s Labyrinth) Del Toro meant that no effort was going to be spared to “show” us everything — every little beastie who whispers entreaties and threats, every little gnome who goes bump in the night. But this remake of the 1973 TV movie of the same name manages the basics quite well. Because basically, there’s nothing scarier that a big, old, dark and spooky house and a little girl with only a flashlight to protect her. The girl here is Sally, played by the normally bubbly and applecheeked Bailee Madison (Just Go With It). Sally is a California tween sent to live with her house-restorer dad (Guy Pearce). And Dad’s new interior decorator girlfriend, Kim (Katie Holmes), is there to try and make the transition smooth. Which it isn’t. “I feel like the evil stepmother,” she complains.

Guillermo del Toro may be the mastermind of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, in theaters this weekend, but he says his own scariest time is during broad daylight. Del Toro acknowledged in a recent interview that his nighttime dreams are actually “very boring.” Instead, the Oscar-winning producer, director and screenwriter said he has “an overactive imagination in the day” — a “horrible” condition because he’s always overreacting to something. “If my wife takes 15 minutes longer to come back from the supermarket, I’m already fantasizing with horror stories. You know — what happened? A crash? An accident? A plane landed on the car? I tend to get paranoid really fast,” he said. That could be the inspiration for the monstermeister’s dark films such as Pan’s Labyrinth, the Hellboy series, and now Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, a film del Toro describes as a classic gothic thriller. It stars 11-year-old Bailee Madison as Sally, who is sent to live with her father, played by Guy Pierce, and his girlfriend, played by Katie Holmes. In the house, Sally hears voices that turn out to be what del Toro describes as “little creatures that are very, very nasty,” that live in the cellars, in caves, under the house and, of course, are up to no good. Del Toro produced the film and co-wrote the screenplay, which he says is very close to his heart and took more than 16 years to finally get into theaters. It’s based on a 1973 television movie of the same name, which del Toro says was the scariest movie he saw as a young boy. He says the story then took on a life of its own, noting that those were days before people could re-watch movies on video. “So we just retold the story to each other and the school boys and through the years I realized that a lot of the moments I liked about the movie we have made up; we had invented,” he said. Del Toro originally planned to direct Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark but could not because at the time he was directing Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit (del Toro quit the production in May 2010 after two years of involvement, citing production delays). He acknowledges that under the direction of Troy Nixey, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark looks very different from what he envisioned, but he says the best part of this experience was “to see the world you’ve dreamt of so long interpreted in a different way.”

This week’s releases include a film that should be an Oscar contender and a superb animated look at a film classic. The Beaver Grade A: Under normal circumstances, all the talk about this release would be about potential Oscar nominations for star Mel Gibson and supporting actors Jennifer Lawrence and Anton Yelchin. There also would be plenty of buzz for director Jodie Foster. There’s been nothing normal about The Beaver, from its odd name to the plot: a man falls into such a deep depression that he can only communicate through a hand puppet. It was considered unfilm-able. It took someone with the clout and talent of Foster to make the movie and create a story about love and life so poignant that even the absurdities of

the story line (and Gibson’s real-life drama) fade away. Foster has created a moving story that’s one of the best of the year. Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz Grade A-: Usually when cartoon characters pay tribute to a classic film or TV show, the characters take over the iconic roles. This is cute for a short time but gets old. This film avoids that problem. It’s very loyal to the MGM classic, from dialogue to plot. Tom and Jerry are characters who get woven into the story as accents and not the focus. It’s a perfect melding of the popular film with the animated duo. Win Win Grade A-: A lawyer and part-time wrestling coach (Paul Giamatti) helps a troubled teen find his potential. Don’t call this a sports movie. Director Tom McCarthy merely uses sports as a

backdrop for this touching story of how life is a struggle at all ages. With its many emotional layers, the film soars because of Giamatti, who has an uncanny ability to bring a character to life. The DVD has versions where the opening is in a sepia tone like the original movie and is also in full color. POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold Grade C-: Morgan Spurlock’s documentary examines the trend of product placements in movies by selling them in his own film. He mixes commentary from advertising experts and film directors with promotional plugs for his investors. The problem is that Spurlock eventually gets so tangled in his commitments he creates self-censorship. He can wink at the camera all he wants, but he sold out in the end.

AmStar to screen Asa Carter documentary The AmStar movie theater in Oxford will have a onenight free screening of The Reconstruction of Asa Carter on Monday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. This hour-long documentary explores the life and legacy of Anniston native Asa Carter, a speechwriter and best-selling author of The Rebel Outlaw Josey Wales and The Education of Little Tree. Carter was an outspoken racist speechwriter for Gov. George Wallace in 1962. Carter also founded a Ku Klux Klan organization. Later in life, Carter moved to Texas and began writing under the pseudonym Forrest Carter. The Education

of Little Tree, which spent many weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, was written as a memoir of an orphaned Native American boy learning the way of the Cherokee. Carter died in 1979, and The Education of Little Tree was exposed as a fake in 1991. The Reconstruction of Asa Carter examines how Carter could portray two people at once, and why so many Americans fell in love with Carter’s portrayal of his Cherokee self. Over-the-top bad guys spew generically menacing lines and hot women parade around in bikinis and lingerie. The catlike Saldana herself kicks butt in little more than tank tops and short-shorts, and prowls around during a thrilling jail hit in the kind of skin-tight body suit she might have worn to do motion-capture work for Avatar. Her character also likes to suck lollipops while she’s cleaning out her guns; again, subtle.

The action, meanwhile, is totally preposterous, but that’s what you pay your money to see. Cataleya seems to be both omniscient and omnipresent, capable of arming or disarming any device, adept at crawling through or climbing over any obstacle in her path without ever smudging her sexy eyeliner. In fact, there’s only one scene where she seems to be in any real danger: a visceral, bruising sequence of hand-to-hand combat featuring towels and toothbrushes reminiscent of the third Bourne movie. For the most part, it’s all big and silly, but at least it’s enjoyably staged and crafted. But Saldana also manages to earn our sympathy, as the script allows her to convey a surprising amount of emotion and inner conflict. Cataleya’s purely physical relationship with a hunky artist named Danny (Michael Vartan) forces her to confront the loneliness she’s long suppressed. But then it’s time for her to take her clothes off again.

Paul Rudd hops from one sofa to another to another as the title character in “Our Idiot Brother,” and that’s sort of what the film itself does, too. Rudd stars as an amiable, ambling dude named Ned who has no real goals in life; what he does have is a guilelessness that consistently gets him into trouble, both with his family and with the law. (At the film’s start, he sells pot to a uniformed police officer, which earns him some brief time behind bars.) He has a knack for always saying or doing the wrong thing, even though he always means well. Director Jesse Peretz, working from a script written by his sister, Evgenia Peretz, and her husband, David Schisgall, follows him

as he bumbles his way from one situation to the next with no great momentum or sense of character evolution. Ned grows increasingly irritating to his hippie farmer ex-girlfriend (Kathryn Hahn), the three sisters he mooches off of (Emily Mortimer, Elizabeth Banks and Zooey Deschanel) and to us. But then supposedly once they’ve all shunned him for causing so much inadvertent damage, they take him back because they realize what a positive influence he is in their lives. It makes no sense — there’s a gap of logic and emotion that’s hard to overcome. Still, the usually likable Rudd is totally committed to playing this annoying, goofy schlub: a Capraesque character in cargo shorts and shaggy facial hair. You don’t blame the sisters for ostracizing him — but then they’re all drawn in such an unlikable, two-dimensional way, you won’t want to be on their side, either. Director Peretz says they’re all meant to represent specific New York types, but they never feel like fully realized people. First, Ned stays with

Mortimer’s Liz, the smug, hovering, ultra-P.C. Brooklyn mom; her kids are named River and Echo. She’s married to a skeevy and disdainful documentary filmmaker played by a surprisingly unfunny Steve Coogan. They are obsessed with getting their son into

the right private school. When he wears out his welcome there, he moves in with Banks’ Miranda, an impatient and ambitious writer for Vanity Fair (where Peretz the screenwriter is a contributing editor in real life). She’ll do whatever she must to get good play

for her piece on a British royal, even if it means using Ned to obtain secondhand information. She also bosses around her neighbor (Adam Scott, who has some nice, easygoing banter with Rudd); he has a crush on her for reasons that are difficult to comprehend.

Rock ‘n’ roll baptism Paul Thorn to headline Saturday’s Rumble on Noble

Paul Thorn is nothing if not brutally honest. Whether it’s stories of his own hard-knock life or those of the down-and-out heroes and losers he’s met along those same back roads, the Tupelo, Miss.born, singer/songwriter pulls no punches, using his emotionally restless lyrics to shed light upon a seedy darkness where lesser artists would leave well enough alone. But the best characters are those in his immediate family — such as those in the title track to Thorn’s ninth album, Pimps and Preachers>: My Daddy had a Cadillac/My uncle drove a Ford/ One was Satan’s angel/one worked for the Lord/They had some hard-earned wisdom/they both became my teachers/I was the young disciple of pimps and preachers. And that’s a true story. Thorn’s father was a Church of God Pentecostal minister, while his uncle was a pimp. Though he’s since turned his back on the life, Thorn found inspiration in both what his uncle and his father did to make their way in the world while teaching an impressionable young boy a thing or two about life. “I grew up with strong examples of both the dark and the light,” Thorn said during a recent stop of his eight-week tour in promotion of Pimps and Preach-

ers. “Some of the advice they gave me ended up shaping me into the man I am today.” Thorn’s final show of this current tour will be to perform Saturday at Anniston’s seventh annual Rumble on Noble, where he will be sharing the stage with JB Walker and The Cheap Whiskey Band, HiredGuns and Todd Simpson & Mojo Child. “Real excited about the musical lineup,” said Randy Snyder, owner and editor of Full Throttle Magazine, which sponsors the event. “We added HiredGuns — been trying to get them for a couple of years. Big Country is a great front man and a heck of an entertainer. They’re going to bring in a whole new dynamic for kickin’ off the show. Then there’s JB Walker who’s got 25-plus years of playing for the motorcycle community. A big reason he’s in that timeslot is because around 6 p.m. we do a very patriotic salute to our military and introduce the 2012 motorcycles. Following JB is Todd Simpson & Mojo Child — Birmingham’s guitar phenomenon. It’s our second time having him in Anniston.” Thorn is set to close the show around 9 p.m. “I fell in love with Paul’s music after seeing him at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta a couple of years ago,” Snyder said. “Knowing the fan base he has, I thought it would be a great way of taking this from strictly a motorcycle event to making it a music festival … and this could be the band to do it.” In addition to the music on stage, this year’s Rum-

They love riding in the Mount Cheaha area, so that’s a big draw, and the downtown area has really embraced the motorcycle community.” For Thorn, who has cut his teeth and steadily grown a following by constantly touring, playing outdoor festivals can provide an extra motivation to make sure his voice is heard over the anarchy spilling around the stage.

“It can be tough getting people’s attention ‘cause there’s so much else going on,” he said. “But I don’t mind the competition. Just makes us play that much harder.” With backseat ballads like “Tequila is Good for the Heart” and “Love Scar,” country/blues rockers like “Nona Lisa” and honky-tonk anthems like “I Don’t Like Half the People I Love,” which includes the lyric, “Well I’m not as nice as Jesus and I really am fed up/I don’t like half the folks I love,” getting the audience’s attention — even in the midst of bikini contests and the rumble of motorcycles — shouldn’t be too hard. He knows how to work a crowd … after all it’s in his blood. “That’s the good thing about being raised by pimps and preachers,” he said, “they gave me a certain set of social skills that have served me well. I know how to talk to people.” Thorn promises that Saturday’s show will be a rock ‘n’ roll revival the likes of which Anniston’s never seen, and tithing for this ministry only comes once. “Paul Thorn charges a one-time love offering,” he said. “Buy the ticket and the CD, then you’re an official member of the Paul Thorn church of Pimps and Preachers. Undercovers, a glossy drama about married caterers moonlighting as spies, was positioned by NBC as more than just a glittery entry in its fall lineup when it premiered last September. The series featured two black leads — a rarity in prime-time network TV — and was the centerpiece of the network’s aggressive campaign touting its commitment to boosting diversity. NBC trumpeted Undercovers as a response to opponents of the network’s merger with cable giant Comcast who contended NBC had a historically poor record when it came to placing AfricanAmericans in front of and behind the camera. But despite heavy promotion, Undercovers never caught on with viewers and was canceled by early November, leaving some observers to speculate that NBC’s push for more minority presence would wither. Network honchos were reassuring. Then-diversity chief Paula Madison maintained in a February radio interview with noted sociologist Michael Eric Dyson that Comcast’s NBCUniversal was committed to increasing diversity “in all facets of our business. ... Those commitments are in writing, and they are on file with the FCC. There is no likelihood that we would revert. We’re not going to put shows on the air that are devoid of diversity.” But little more than six months after

the approval of the merger by the Federal Communications Commission, and three months after Madison retired, some of NBCUniversal’s units have come under fire as advocates claim that the company is not honoring promises that helped pave the way for the merger’s approval. KNBC, NBC-Universal’s Los Angeles station, has been targeted by two Latino journalist groups who say the newsroom is discriminating against Latino anchors. And NBC’s coming fall schedule shows a marked reversal from last season, when the merger was still pending and the network developed Undercovers as well as other shows with minorities in major roles, such as Outlaw, The Event and Outsourced. Those series were all casualties of low ratings, and the new pilots show few people of color in leading roles. Executives at NBCUniversal are scrambling to address the concerns. Craig Robinson, KNBC’s president and general manager, who was hired as NBCUniversal chief of diversity a few weeks ago, said he had long been aggressive in hiring minorities, particularly Latinos, in the newsroom. And NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt recently maintained the network was “embedded in diversity” as it moves into the new season. Still, critics say they are waiting to be convinced. Leaders of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and CCNMA: Latino Journalists of California are both adopting a wait-and-see posture toward KNBC. The groups, in two separate letters

leaked to the website L.A. Observed, expressed unhappiness over the removal of anchor Ana Garcia from the 6 p.m. news, and the absence of Latino anchors from prime newscasts. Michele Salcedo, president of the NAHJ, and Julio Moran, executive director of CCNMA, said in their letters that KNBC appeared to be in conflict with a memorandum of understanding signed by Comcast and NBCUniversal stating that they would “recruit and retain more Latinos so that their workforces more accurately reflect the communities they serve.” After speaking with Robinson last week, Salcedo and Moran said they were optimistic. “Craig promised that the talent lineup would look very differently six months from now,” Salcedo said. Added Moran: “I stressed the importance of perception. I’m willing to give him six months.” NBC is not the only network struggling with the issue this season; new shows on rival networks feature few people of color in prominent roles. CBS has only one person of color in its new fall lineup, Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), playing a supporting role on Person of Interest. Fox and ABC fare slightly better: Shelley Conn stars in Fox’s Terra Nova while ABC’s revamp of Charlie’s Angels stars Annie Ilonzeh, an African-American actress, as one of the Angels, while their protector Bosley is played by Ramon Rodriguez.

Each episode will be character-revealing,” with “one of the Angels at the emotional tip of the spear.” Goldberg was asked about the old days, when critics saw Angels as some sort of apocalyptic moment in American culture. “We were very successful and the other networks found ways to disparage us” with terms like “eye candy” and “jiggle TV.” “A lot of publications gave us bad reviews, but as soon as the show hit, they were anxious to put us on the cover of everything.” The show bows this fall, and — yes — he probably wouldn’t mind the same problem.
