Welcome Cheaha Challenge Cyclists! Our community welcomes all Cheaha Challenge cyclists and their families to Calhoun County for the weekend! Pre-registered reports show that we have more than 600 cyclists from 25 states participating. Several hundred volunteers have worked over the past few months to prepare for your visit and those same volunteers look forward to “taking
care of you” Sunday during the ride. As you know, Cheaha Mountain is the highest point in Alabama and a very beautiful place. Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses in between mountain climbs tomorrow. For those doing the full 102-mile route—we hope you brought the Advil! We also hope you will return to our community at other times during the year to not only check out the additional GREAT cycling we have on beautiful country roads, but also to enjoy the many other attractions in our region.
