we create inspiring spaces and events through art, music culture & business
We are Greenland Venue Management (UK). A venue management company based in the Baltic Triangle, Liverpool. We opened our first venue, Constellations, in 2014. Our mission is to create inspiring spaces and events dedicated to promoting creativity and community through art, music, culture and business. Over the last three years, we have focused primarily on providing space for local events and festivals in our home city of Liverpool. We’re incredibly lucky to have such a wealth of talent on our doorstep, operating in a city that thrives on diversity. Our city’s evolving events scene has helped catapult the Baltic Triangle into the national papers, with The Times newspaper voting our neighbourhood the coolest place to live in the UK. In 2015, our first venue Constellations was short-listed for a RIBA award and won the ‘Best of British Design and Craftsmanship in Wood’ in the ‘Commercial and Leisure Category’ at the Wood Awards.
In 2016, we won best ‘Culture and Tourism Business’ and ‘Independent Business of the Year’ at the Liverpool Independent Business Awards. In 2017, we won ‘Employer of the Year’ at the City Of Liverpool Awards and ‘Tourism and Leisure Business of the Year’ at the Merseyside Federation For Small Business Awards. 2017 also saw the opening our second space, Leylines. A hireable co-working space for independent artists and makers. It’s safe to say we have got off to a great start and as we enter our fourth year, we look to open our third space. Our next big objective is to establish Greenland Venue Management (UK) as one of the UK’s leading venue operators. 2018 is a big year for us as we look to the future and continue to expand our offering, we believe there is a need for more event spaces in Liverpool. We aim to provide more reasons for people and businesses to visit, attend and host their events here. We will continue to drive forward our city’s regeneration, something, as a company we are incredibly passionate about. Watch This Space...

Over the last four years, we’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the UK’s most exciting minds; from trend setting event organisers to trailblazing marketers. A combination of businesses, neighbours, friends and collaborators, all sharing a passion for creativity and innovation. Events bring people together, they create new interactions and opportunities, they are a vehicle to drive growth, they help build communities and provide many social benefits. Our objective has always been to nurture and support as many events as possible within an unassuming and forward-thinking environment. Without compromise, we ensure our customers receive the highest standard of service and experience. We take inspiration from our neighbourhood, the Baltic Triangle. An area of the city that is industrious by nature and offers freedom and flexibility for event organisers to explore their creativity. We work with anything from household brands to small creative start-ups to large corporate companies. Whatever the objective; business or social, fun or serious, we believe event spaces should be multi-purpose, inclusive and always open to new ideas. We offer a new home to existing events and provide a supportive platform for start-up events to grow. We will collaborate to create a melting pot of art, music, culture and business. CONCEPT
hinterlands The venue is an independent, multi-purpose space. It is aimed primarily, but not exclusively, at creative, digital, cultural and leisure businesses. A space for conferences, festivals, exhibitions, meetings, galas, music events and everything in between. Less than 200 metres away from its sister venue, Constellations, Hinterlands will be a unique proposition for organisers hosting multi-venue events. The space is nestled within the new Cains Brewery development, alongside brand new co-working spaces, artist studios, countless bars and a food & drink market. In 2017, the area was transformed into a thriving community and night-time destination. The events market place is buoyant, a statement backed up by the latest UKCAMS report. The industry has seen a healthy growth in activity over the last five years and continues to do so. 60% of venues expect their business to grow in the next year and we believe now is the time to expand our operations. Over the last four years we’ve been gathering market research that suggests a need for more purpose-built, blank-canvas space. A space that can host events for 10-1000 guests, all under one roof, whilst being affordable and well designed to suit the demands of the modern-day event organiser.
We see a trend emerging that event agencies and the brands they represent are looking for something a little more unusual. A space that falls in-line with their client’s niche businesses, culture and diverse customer interests and desires. Abandoning traditional approaches can stimulate innovation and creativity. Something seen more commonly in some of today’s most successful businesses. For events, this can lead to a refreshing and unexpected experience for both customer and organiser. We want to help create more unexpected moments. Moments that are valuable, memorable and a cut above the rest. This is the concept behind Hinterlands. welcome to ‘the space beyond’ - raw, industrial and creative Hinterlands is a rare space where your event ideas can come to life. The venue is situated in the famous Cains Brewery site, which was established in 1859 by Robert Cain and has been producing beers and ales in Liverpool for over 150 years, until its recent closure. Over the last year the brewery and surrounding buildings have been transformed into an independent destination for eating, drinking and shopping. A unique and vibrant location for any event. Offering organisers and guests the opportunity to mix business with leisure, conveniently. Our experience and knowledge of events and venues has guided our vision. From location, to design, we’ve built a space that is flexible, functional and multifaceted. Traversing two main event spaces, Hinterlands is a dynamic, interwoven complex. The main Event Hall, mezzanine bar and break-out space are linked by a multitude of corridors and sprawling staircases. Offering unconventional originality, every aspect of the venue has been carefully constructed to amplify and accentuate the building’s industrial characteristics; from its vaulted ceilings to its exposed steel structure. Technology plays a big part in the venue’s design, connecting each visitor’s physical and digital experience. The venue will use state-of-the-art PAs, multimedia and beacon technology - with Metronet Wifi accessible to every customer. Hinterlands is just a stone’s throw away from award-winning hotels, the Albert Dock and Liverpool One. Secure on-site parking and countless restaurants and bars line the venue’s doorstep.

SPACES
RECEPTION & MEZZANINE A warm and welcoming entrance to the captivating Hinterlands Event Hall, the mezzanine offers guests the opportunity to gaze out over the expansive 3850 sq ft site. This area is perfect as a private hire space for daytime meetings and evening drinks. The reception foyer opens out onto Mann Street, with level access that provides a functional and quirky area to welcome guests. From here, visitors can access the mezzanine bar directly, or make use of ramped access to the main Event Hall and Eclipse theatre.
MAIN EVENT HALL Soaked in natural daylight, the high ceilings and grand walkways of the main hall are breathtaking. A multitude of staircases unite the balcony, mezzanine and floor space, allowing guests to explore the hall in their own unique way. Responsive to the requirements of its customers, the hall is a versatile space, ready to be shaped and moulded to fit any event idea. Industrial yet elegant, the Event Hall remains a stunning space both in the day, and the night. Excellent for conferences, expos, weddings and everything in between. With features including; two bars, universal wheelchair access, green room availability, meeting space and kitchen facilities, the Event Hall is a completely private hire space - an oasis for your event to come to life.
ECLIPSE Minimal in aesthetic, Eclipse is a stylish, modern space. Retaining the industrial values of the main hall, this black-out space incorporates a sharpness that allows event organisers to flood the room with their own ideas and personality. Immersive in design, Eclipse stands alone in the city as an unparalleled event experience, perfect for day and night hire. With capacity for up to 200 seated and 450 standing guests, the room has been tailor-made for private parties, weddings, small conferences and meetings. Eclipse features its own bar, bathroom facilities and wheelchair access - an accommodating and absorbing space for diverse, one-of-a-kind events.
ANNEX Notable for its lofty mezzanine; the Annex is home to a number of co-working spaces, as well as kitchen facilities and meeting spaces. Ideal for exhibitions, presentations and meetings, the 2080 sq ft Annex will provide event organisers with a break-out space from the Event Hall. Hireable on a long-term basis as co-working studios or as a short-term event space, the Annex is a multidimensional, flexible extension to the Hinterlands site.
