Finalists announced for the Rising Star Award 2020 CIOB DEBUTS CATEGORY FOR RISING STARS WHO HAVE BEEN IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY FOR LESS THAN SEVEN YEARS T h e s h o r t l i s t f o r t h e C I O B ’s first ever Rising Star Award has been revealed. A total of 12 of the very best construction professionals at the beginning of their careers have been named in the shortlist. The Rising Star Award is being run by the CIOB for the first time this year, as an extension to the institute’s prestigious Construction Manager Event

of the Year awards (CMYA). This brand new category is for rising stars who have been in the construction industry for seven years or less, and have demonstrated excellence in their work, the industry and among their peers. The finalists have been whittled down by a panel of CIOB and construction professionals to Silver The annual CMYA Awards Dinner will be held on 25 November at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel. The CIOB has not taken the decision lightly, given the current situation, to go ahead with a face-to-face event and wants to reassure attendees it is considering every detail and level of safety.
