We work hard at balancing individual convenience with overall group satisfaction, travel efficiency, and cost. Legacy Tour & Travel is committed to providing enough departure location options to be considered convenient for individuals, but not too many to bog down departure and return days for the group. An “At Home” pickup and return option is available to qualifying travelers in the Chicago area. This currently includes those living in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will counties in Illinois, along with Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties in northwest Indiana. This program is primarily designed to offer convenience to the traveler, while also alleviating some of the logistical challenges of gathering a group in large metro areas by utilizing services readily and uniquely available in those areas. For those utilizing the “At Home Pick‐up” option, please provide us with detailed directions for your home pick‐up at the time of your initial reservation.
Air, Land & Sea Discoveries are air transportation tours led by a Legacy Tour & Travel tour manager who will take care of all itinerary tour arrangements from start to finish.
Depending on your departure location selection, prices may vary. For certain tours, the total number of days may vary as well. “Gathering Days” will often be used prior to the start of the “base tour”, allowing all travelers the convenience of departing from as close to home as possible. These details, along with available pick‐up regions, will be clearly outlined within each tour’s details. At the time of booking, travelers will be given the opportunity to choose one of the available locations.

Federal law requires the wearing of face coverings on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transport. This currently applies to both vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers. The CDC, USDOT, and TSA will continue to review this position, and Legacy Tour & Travel, in cooperation with Hawkeye Stages, will continue to monitor the situation and make appropriate adjustments. Venues (restaurants, motels, attractions, etc) and local governments may have similar requirements in place as well, so please come prepared to respect and adhere to their policies, for your wellbeing, the wellbeing of your fellow travelers, and the wellbeing of others you come in contact with.
Vaccines Although we are currently not requiring all tour participants to have proof of vaccination to join one of our departures, certain venues (restaurants, theatres, etc) are doing so. As the date of departure approaches, we will do our best to notify travelers of any of these specific requirements. Travelers should be prepared to either provide such proof, or possibly miss participating in an event/meal, or visiting an attraction. To avoid this, and for other reasons, it is our recommendation that all travelers be vaccinated, and that they bring proof of vaccination with them on tour.
Additional guidance available closer to departure Additional adjustments to on tour protocols may be made based on guidance available closer to the time of departure, including those involving boarding/exiting the motorcoach, taking of temperatures, assigned seats verses seat rotation, pre‐departure COVID 19 testing and/or self‐certifications, etc. with you and your group in mind! Jump on the adventure travel bandwagon and round up your herd! You HEARD it here. Call (877) 776-1700 to start the ball rolling.

“I enjoy getting our passengers safely and comfortably to their destinations. As a Hawkeye Stages driver, when the coach is parked, I am included as part of the Legacy Tour & Travel group for meals and shows, just as if I were one of the passengers! Socializing and getting to know our travelers really adds a lot to my fun.“ Steve Chamberlin “The drivers and tour managers that work at Hawkeye Stages and Legacy Tour & Travel are a team. Drivers will help guides with unexpected problems that might pop-up while out on tour or offer suggestions that might improve the experience for the passengers. Likewise, the guides are quick to offer help to the drivers with any of their duties (sweep floor, get more ice for the coolers, etc) when they are not busy assisting the passengers. This teamwork is one of the things that I think sets us apart from other companies.” Jake Hildebrand

Passport Fees Have Increased ADDITIONAL TOURS IN DEVELOPMENT Fall Mystery October 24-28, 2022 Gettysburg, Williamsburg & Washington DC October 20-30, 2022 Watch your Legacy Tour & Travel website for travel information and itineraries. 17
The U.S. State Department announced this week that passport fees have increased by $20 across the board effective Dec. 27, 2021in order to support production. Fees vary by age and type of application. • Adults over age 16 applying for a first-time passport will pay $165 (up from $145). • Adults over age 16 renewing a passport will pay $130 (up from $110). • Minors under 16 seeking a passport will pay $135 (up from $115). Routine passport processing times range from eight to 11 weeks. Expedited processing is available for an extra $60 and will take between five to seven weeks, not including delivery time. One-to-two-day delivery is available for an additional $17.56. Passport processing times have significantly decreased since the summer and early fall when wait times were projected to be between 12 and 18 weeks due to high demand, staff shortages and backlogs. The State Department recommends applying at least four to six months in advance of planned travel. Customers with urgent travel needs or life-or-death emergencies will be prioritized and must call a passport agency center to make an appointment, but availability is limited. The increased fees are “necessary to ensure we continue to produce one of the most secure travel and identity documents in the world,” according to the State Department. If you have questions about this notice or need more information, contact your Legacy Tour & Travel office.

Travel protection is optional, but highly recommended and should be purchased at the time the initial tour deposit is made. Your local agent can help you secure coverage. We are excited to offer three unique travel opportunities which include the once-adecade Oberammergau Passion Play. The history of the Play goes back to a vow made in 1633. The people of Oberammergau promised God that if he would spare them from the Plague, they would pay tribute by performing a depiction of Christ’s crucifixion. Every 10 years, more than 2000 local actors, singers and musicians perform the Passion Play to fulfill their holy vow. The tradition has been maintained and experienced almost without interruption for over 380 years. Oberammergau sits at the edge of the Bavarian Alps. This little hamlet will host approximately 450,000 visitors, over half of which will be international guests. The village is also known as the home of a long tradition of woodcarving with pieces ranging from religious subjects, toys, and even the famous Bavarian cuckoo clocks. Oberammergau is also famous for its painted homes and public frescoes picturing traditional Bavarian themes, fairy tales and religious scenes. Our three tour packages offer a different travel experience depending on your preference and are a perfect complement to the historic Passion Play.
