Be alert for potential indicators of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of resident property as you visit residents. If there are issues that need investigation or follow-up, proceed as you do with other complaints. If you receive an abuse or neglect complaint, use your best efforts to ensure protection of the resident from further abuse or neglect in accordance with the LTCOP policies and procedures in your state.
