our head office, our juices are made abroad. Ealing offers great business opportunities as well. Can we have a bit of science? Explain the virtues of stevia over sugar. Stevia is an extremely sweet plant that has been used for centuries in some parts of the world as a healthier alternative to sugar. We have been able to use the stevia leaf as a natural zero calorie ingredient to sweeten our products naturally and thus avoiding the negative effects that sugar can have on diets, such as obesity and diabetes. The great thing about stevia is that our products can still taste delicious without being laden with harmful sugar.
Not so silly sweet Ditch those over-sugared juice drinks: Bobby Patel’s North Acton based Appy Food and Drinks offers a healthier option, using stevia to cut sugar and calories. In our Q&A, the food and design entrepreneur talks about his #HealthierGenerations campaign. In your promotional video, you mentioned your mum’s health as a motivating factor in starting up Appy Food and Drinks. What does she think of the products, then? What’s her favourite Appy drink? My Mum is extremely proud of what we are trying to achieve through Appy, and she loves the products because she is positive that they can help people with sugar related illnesses such as diabetes. She is a big fan of Tropical, just like her son!
