Twelve hours to get connected

I

t is time for Ealing Business Expo 2022 – 12 hours over two days to promote and support the local business community in Ealing, West London and beyond. On Monday we’ll be putting Expo director, Carlene Bender to work what we learned about running an online event, and on Contactus Ealing Tuesday we are back to meeting up in person, face to face. I’d love to know where you’re attending this event from – are you here in Ealing, or further away? Email and let me know your event feedback, and your ideas about the possibility of an Expo 2023: info@contactusealing.co.uk

#EalingBizExpo

Please do share your experiences at the Ealing Business Expo – include the hashtag #EalingBizExpo in your social media posts (everybody loves posts with photos/videos) so we can join in the conversation.

Visitor etiquette

Remember that exhibitors have paid to promote their businesses at the Expo. Visitors may use the speed networking sessions to share their own offers. Some of the sessions have been sponsored, so please expect to hear a short pitch from the people who have helped us to put on this event

Do you both work full time on the business? A: Roti Friday started in the first lockdown. We were predominantly event caterers when we started, but due to the pandemic all of our events were cancelled, and we were at a loss as to what we would do next. A customer who had hired us for her annual boat party contacted us because she had ordered roti from someone and she wasn’t really happy with it. The downsides have been a few, like the difficulty in finding premises where we can start our takeaway business, and the uncertainty that the pandemic has brought to our business. Deliveroo did work for us. The reviews were great but unfortunately the production kitchen we were renting was sold so we had to close Deliveroo until we could find a permanent location.
