about the website and how it fits into our plans in our up and coming ‘Goals 4 Growth Summit’ on Saturday 25th January, 6:30-8:00pm at Set Space in West Ealing (same location as our Christmas Fayre last month: 105-113 Uxbridge Road, W13 9BE).

On Saturday, in addition to all things finance, goals and growth, we will also talk you through some of our plans for events, recruitment, partnerships and a membership scheme where CACE can deliver more and keep you engaged this year.

In the mood for love? Then also save the date Friday 14th February for our first ‘CACE Connects’ session, where we’ll be screening and talking films, music and Black love.

If we believe, we can achieve, so let’s share ideas, set and get our goals, and make 2025 the year we thrive!!

CACE Quiz Q

Setting up in West Ealing

From page 1

Things have been going apace down at CACE HQ, and we have been working busily behind the scenes to deliver something very special.

We are excited to be able to announce that we now have our first residency – at the SET Ealing space in West Ealing, located at St James’ House, 113 Broadway (Uxbridge Road), W13 9BS (some may remember it as the former Catalyst building, obliquely opposite where the Huntleys ran their historic bookshop in Chignell Place).

Our space is situated on the ground floor, in the home of the old Herbert Jones pawnbrokers. CACE and SET have joined forces to create a new Caribbean African Collective centre of excellence in Ealing, where the community in the borough can come together to host events, showcase products, introduce new speakers, and grow and develop different kinds of businesses.

New website

To keep everyone updated about what’s happening, CACE has now launched a new website which can be found at: cace.org.uk

The website will allow people to engage with us as members, become partners for our various projects, as well as host their own individual events in our dedicated hub.

Getting the new CACE space ready

Membership plans

If you would like to get more involved with our Collective, and become an official member of CACE, soon you will be able to select the level of membership that suits you best, including:

(i) CACE Base Member

This level allows you to contribute to the community while accessing all the benefits of the newsletter and our WhatsApp group, to keep up to date with plans and events.

(ii) CACE MAKR

The CACE Maker membership enables those who make products, for example dresses, jewellery, books, cushions, to utilise the dedicated space in our shopfront to showcase your work.

(iii) CACE WRKR

Our CACE Worker membership is for anyone who would like to be based at the CACE space on a more permanent basis with a community-rate hot desk. A setup like this means that you can actually enjoy the cultural vibe of the group, be fully involved, and bond with the CACE community here on site.

(iv) CACE Legacy member

If you’re somebody who is watching our journey from afar and would like to contribute something financially, we will soon be launching a crowdfunder where you can invest in our permanent building, and thus become a legacy member.

Watch out for a separate email about memberships in the next few days.

Book fundraiser

“Black History in Ealing, West London” is a quiz book written by Carlene Bender as a fundraiser for CACE

Find it on Amazon (published in paperback and Kindle)

We will have a few copies for sale at our events too
