The defiant Emily Emily Rose Adams, one half of the bright new pop-electro duo MissDefiant, is now an Acton-based gal. In this week’s The_Ealinger Q&A, we ask her when we’re going to see her singing live on stage in Ealing... It’s not too soon for us to claim you as an “Ealing-based singer”, is it? I moved from Sussex to London when I was 16. Since then I’ve lived all over London, and moved to Acton a year and a half ago. I’ve recently started hanging out in the area and going along to local events, so I feel at home in Ealing.
you’re “already famous”, which he means as a compliment. How does your music come over live? It’d be great to see you on stage at The Ealing Club, the West Ealing SoundBite Festival or even Hanwell Hootie. Ealing loves its live music! I’d love us to do a gig in Ealing! I’ve heard it’s where some of the old school music legends started out playing. We’ve been dancing to Our set is super high in energy MissDefiant in the kitchen – my – myself and Jordan Cather, the husband says you sound like other half of MissDefiant, have

So what are you and Jordan planning next? We’ve got loads in store for this year! We’re releasing a single with a music video every six weeks until the summer, along with remixes and acoustic versions all ahead of our first album release which we’re really excited about! We’ll be gigging as much as possible too. I think Acton is edgy. Is it edgy enough for a girl band? The growing student population in Acton means it’s becoming quite trendy! It’s got the right balance between normality and edginess though. I’m fitting in well and will definitely look into arranging some gigs locally.
