Message from the Executive Director Contemporary Art Projects USA returns to Art Boca Raton 2018 for the third time with an amazing roster of international contemporary artists. The exhibition will be curated by Mariavelia Savino, the gallery’s chief curator. “I am proud to have Ms. Savino as Chief Curator; a renowned art expert with extensive experience from institutions, art fairs, and biennales.” My mission is focused on promoting art appreciation within the international community to inspire and assist with the process of art collection, and to generate resources that support artists ‘creative endeavors through art awareness, artist promotion, and art procurement. MARIAVELIA SAVINO, CHIEF CURATOR For the past years, Contemporary Art Projects USA has included the curator figure in all its events and exhibitions; one of its major initiatives being the creation of a curatorial assessment and support program that encompasses the artist’s trajectory of a work from conception to completion. This mentorship is based on a one-to-one relationship between the artist and the curator where the artist expresses ideas, intentions, and reflections about the creative process that initiates a cooperation between them that develops into a project rather than an isolated piece without a totality. Each project is created according to the theme determined by the institution or fair where it will be exhibited, in that way, the curator figure in Contemporary Art Projects USA develops a comprehensive group of projects for each exhibition; as is the case with Art Boca Raton 2018, where collectors, art lovers, and visitors will be able to appreciate an expertly orchestrated collective project– all under one curatorial guidance, yet cognizant of and attentive to each artist’s unique creative process. Ricardo CĂĄrdenas, a successful artist born in MĂŠxico, expresses his feelings and beliefs connecting his Art, in media and technique, with his career as a construction engineer. His Artistic career is growing, as exhibitions and rising popularity demonstrate. Cardenas creates his paintings and sculptures cleverly using building materials, such as concrete and steel bars as his artistic media. He is a genuine original creator, always presenting new unique proposals, like his exquisite Series of Tributes to Great Masters. Reinterpreting the main traits of the ART from a chosen master artist, Cardenas paints and add collage using as canvas the cement and iron bars characteristic of his work, making the whole to look as a unique poster or street graffiti on a cement wall. The resulting Artwork is astonishing and greatly admired by viewers and Art Collectors. At Art Boca Raton, Cardenas presented his unique work Mi Jungla: Tribute to Wilfredo Lam that sold during the Fair Opening event followed daily by further sales and commissions. Cardenas brings his interpretations to our present time. He uses the unforgettable imagery of an international master, but at the same time, he makes it his own. Last December, the impressive Artwork El Juego de las Friday by Ricardo Cardenas, was presented by Contemporary Art Projects USA at RED DOT Art Fair 2017 and sold at the Opening night. For this extraordinary Artwork, he merged on a double tribute the ART of two Great Masters: Frida Kahlo (1907-1954, Mexico) and Andy Warhol (1928-1987, USA), using paint and collage on a reminiscence of the popular Tic Tac Toe game that allowed him to depict several images of Frida displayed in the characteristic multicolored Warhol manner. Cardenas successfully and originally has celebrated renowned masters Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci and has sold to important Art Collectors residing in New York and Florida. Presented by Contemporary Art Projects USA, he exhibited in 2016: at Art Concept during Art Basel Miami Week, Art Santa Fe, NM, and his solo show Paramo, at Miami Dade College West Campus Art Gallery, Doral; in 2017: at Art Palm Beach, Art Boca Raton and during Art Basel Miami Week; in 2018: at Art Palm Beach.

Cristian Coo is a Chilean Artist. To intensify and make deeper his contemporary artistic work, he has set up his workshop on the shores of Lake Rapel, Chile, where the proximity to nature and the experience of sailing, will enhance his artistic creation. After a successful career in the business world, Coo decided to fully dedicate his talent to his creative artistic vocation. His path has been driven by research and experimentation around a theme that constantly interest him: energy as a luminous, immaterial and cosmic phenomenon. Following his main inspiration, he attended programs at the Catholic University of Chile School of Art, where he deepened his knowledge on color, drawing, and mixed techniques, also participating in important workshops by renowned Chilean artists. There, he focused his expertise on acrylic and oil painting on canvas, in order to develop his Art around a defined tendency of Abstract Expressionism. Later, he addressed new experimentation ways, through the introduction of digital techniques and the incursion into volumetric installations, which constitute the main expression of his present Artworks, inspired by concepts of Geometric Abstraction, where color and energy of light are the protagonists. Coo says: "My proposal relies on energy, where color and spatiality are key elements to the manifestation of light, which, in contact with ethereal bodies, as those that characterize my work, reveals itself, leaving at sight the deep counterpoint between its essential immateriality and its vital energy. Thus, arise subtle worlds that are manifested through the superposition of geometric forms, color, and light, from where also flows three-dimensionality illusion. The purpose of my work is to generate personal experiences that impact in a unique way to each spectator." His abstract interpretation of movement, life, beauty, and space, is a unique, balanced evidence for extremely well-conceived compositions. Coo's oeuvre is unique by technique and construction. As a curator lover of Geometric Art, I feel his Art as idyllic, attractive and imposing, no matter its size or color. Leonardo Di Tomaso is an Italian-Venezuelan Artist specialized in photography. He is a sensitive and human person, with an acute eye for detail, balance, and composition. Di Tomaso cleverly and rapidly captures the exact action, subject and background to portray, expertly selecting to develop it either in color or in B & W. In his series Shopping Cart Society, from which two impressive images are exhibited at Contemporary Art Projects USA Booth 108, Di Tomaso portrays the life side of misery and abandonment. His goal is to move viewers to become aware of it, to understand and share other people's pain, as well as to promote solutions or improvement for good. His images are an invitation to action and to experience feelings. Di Tomaso has an elevated knowledge of his media technology and a unique sense of aesthetic. Often, he applies a subliminal sense of ironical humor to help lift up a negative situation in order to create constructive wishes. He also uses this for positive portrayed events to make them more joyful to the viewer. Regarding his Shopping Cart Society selected images for the exhibition the artist says: "When I try to talk about this photographic Series, I end in tears... A Little bump in your life and you're DUMPED... SHOPSMALL, as sometimes there is no room..." One artistic photograph by Leonardo Di Tomaso was awarded the 2nd place in the Conceptual Art Category at the International 2017 Competition of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts in Tampa. During many years, before becoming an artist on his own, Di Tomaso created Di Tomaso Photography to develop his talent for photography providing exquisitely personalized service onlocation for many well-known artists, galleries, and studios, as well as at his studio located in Wynwood Art District.

Hugo Diaz, born in San Cristóbal, Táchira State, Venezuela, in 1965, lives in Miami, FL, since 2003. Graduated in Computer Systems Engineering at the Metropolitan University, Caracas, Venezuela, Diaz also went to Cristóbal Rojas Art School and to the Faculty of Architecture at the Central University of Venezuela, the booth in Caracas. As an Artist, Hugo Diaz is an important member of the 'new generation of Venezuelan Kinetic Art'. This Art genre is based on the aesthetic of the real and the virtual movement in the geometric abstraction. Diaz represents a three-dimensional reality on optical illusions by vibration and by watching contrasted surfaces brightly colored. Inspired by Kinetic Art international great masters, such as the Israeli Yaacov Agam, b. 1928, the French-Hungarian Victor Vasarely, b. 1906 - d. 1997, and the Venezuelan Kinetic masters Jesús Rafael Soto, b. 1923 - d. 2005, and Carlos Cruz-Diez, b. 1923, Diaz reaches his own new dimension creating an innovative reading for the Geometric Art genre. Created using combined simple geometric forms in compositions on either virtual or real space, this Art goes beyond intuition and requires of an errorless rigorous method to achieve it. The creative proposal by Artist Hugo Diaz is conceived by emphasizing two diverse spatial dimensions to represent a three-dimensional reality. Pictorially, his work is based on optical illusions obtained by retinal vibration taking advantage of the impossibility for our eyes to watch simultaneously two contrasted surfaces that are intensely brightly colored. Throughout his career, Diaz has been constant in the search to create an unforgettable visual experience by developing his interest in color, light, and vibration, integrating them to produce the impression of the energy in movement. Recently, Diaz exhibited his unique exquisite artworks represented by Contemporary Art Projects USA at Art Santa Fe 2017, NM; as part of the group show Variations on the same Subjects: People, Nature and Geometry in the Art Gallery at the ArtsPark of Hollywood, FL; during Art Basel Miami Week 2017; and Art Palm Beach 2018 held at the Convention Center. Adriana Dorta Sáez, born in Caracas, Venezuela, graduated in Business and studied Visual Arts in the American Art Institute of Miami. From an early age, she developed an inclination towards the art inspired by effects of light through shades and color in the stained glass of France's old cathedrals, like Chartres and Notre-Dame en Vaux. Dorta says "... As an adult, I now perceive my paintings as a form of multicolor light through precise lines that reflect the influence of my passion for stained glass and how it reflects the straight lines that move throughout the day. That's how I try to transmit the magic that can only live in those sacred windows." Adriana Dorta has also a great passion for Geometric Abstract Art. Geometric Art was significant in the art of native cultures in the Americas, as well as in Europe, Asia, Africa or Oceania. These primeval artistic languages inspired international great masters of Kinetic, Optical and Geometric Abstraction from which Dorta takes great motivation, such as Yaacov Agam, b. 1928, Josef Albers, b. 1888 – d. 1976, Kenneth Noland b. 1924 – d. 2010, and Frank Stella b. 1936. Artist Adriana Dorta cleverly studied and reinterpreted them, reaching her own new dimensions and unique creative conceptions through her exquisite innovative artworks. In 2017, Dorta very successfully exhibited, represented by Contemporary Art Projects USA, at Art Palm Beach and Art Boca Raton, as well as in Art Santa Fe. Adriana is also part of an important group show at the Gallery Art Nouveau in Wynwood, FL. It is remarkable the versatility on how Dorta recreates her own Geometric shapes and lines, she achieved perspectives capture and give great emotions to the viewers of her artworks. They are composed of one or multiple pieces that combine horizontally or vertically, as can be appreciated in the unique exquisite artwork selected for Art Boca Raton 2018.

Laura Epler is an internationally established contemporary American artist, named one of America’s best-mixed media artists by Adam Kennedy, author, playwright, and producer of the PBS Series American Greatness. Epler is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was awarded a studio art grant at the Parsons School of Design’s Paris Campus. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Cultural and Intellectual History. Recently, her Art was exhibited in Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Cuzco, Toronto, Oakland and in the US cities of Chicago, San Francisco, Berkeley, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and Santa Fe. More than two hundred paintings by Epler are in private collections worldwide, including main collectors, such as Jack and Helen Dickerson, Smithsonian Museum of American Art and Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden associates, as well as William I. Koch of Palm Beach, FL, and Aspen, CO. Quoting a review of Epler's Art by Don Lambert, writer of the Saturday Review, American Artist, many national or regional publications, as well as curator of exhibitions at about four hundred museums, art centers and libraries, including the National Museum of American Art in Washington, D.C.: "While the fact that Laura Epler’s art doesn't fit into a specific category may seem a weakness, it is actually the fearless strength and breadth of genius. The paintings do not need categorization; they are beyond that need in both, their emotional content and their technical ability. The paintings move back and forth from hints of subject matter to abstraction, from didactic to spiritual. One senses that she started where Rothko and Pollock ended, infusing them with post-modernist concerns of journalizing, mysticism and feminism. Kelly Fischer is a Switzerland-based/American born artists. Kelly always creates vibrant multicolored and powerful artworks. The artist says: "The colors that one chooses as an artist, are an unveiling of our creative personality. My intention is to provoke and present evocative artworks that leave an imprint on the soul... Color forces us to see things differently and does have an impact on the viewer... Shades of grey help to grasp and pay attention to line, shadow, and texture. But, the most significant feature is the strength of the piece itself... Born in Honolulu, Luis Kaiulani grew up in Hawaii influenced by a mixture of culture, nature, geography and philosophy, absorbing the Hawaiian forests wonders, playing in secluded beaches' sand, meditating on mountaintops and diving into one of the world’s most amazing bodies of water, the Pacific Ocean. He credits his serene affinity toward nature to this idyllic time, yet another side of him is fiery, passionate and asking for excitement. For twenty years, his attention to fluidity, mindfulness and color dimension takes his Art into its own unique area. Luis creates works motivated by his Hawaiian and Venezuelan background expressed in sculptures, paintings, and art objects. For the viewer, his Art is strong and imaginary, like the archipelago he comes from. His focus on line and color bring to life his work’s objective. Luis says, “My art is a metaphor for nature’s constant quest for growth through learning, experience, and contribution... After various years painting, I decided to make sculptures, choosing wood as the element of transformation. I created my 'Totems', mystical ancestral pieces conceived through my vision and sensibility... A new chapter in my career started using metal for my Artworks, allowing me to present projects on a higher scale, monumental sculptures, and art in public spaces, among others. The series of aluminum sculptures begun with “Solid Drip”, followed today by the “Lines” series (Flat Line, Cross Line, and Shape Line). Lolo Loren, born Lise Lorraine Gelderman, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, signs her art with LL that stands for all the L’s in her names and life. Today, Lolo lives at Ibiza with her children. Inspired by the island, the light, the objectivity of the people, the absolute tranquility versus the bohemian party scene, she found her place to live and to paint, looking for new inspiration through fashion, people, colors, internet, the sea, the beach, the sand, a party – everything she saw or experienced, when you look long enough you will discover hidden faces or items or things to see which are not seen or seen differently by others, suddenly appearing without purpose. Lolo studied fashion and design at Esmod Academie, Paris, Economics at the University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam's Vogue Academy and worked for Dutch interior designers. For her paintings Lolo uses natural materials, pigments, Arabic gum, paint, canvas and high gloss coating, creating three-dimensional effects, making the colors bright and intense. From painting came photography. Her interaction with the camera position and her feelings in that moment determine the final image. In 2017, Lolo Loren was part of the exhibition Variations on the same Subjects at the ArtsParks Gallery in Hollywood, Florida, presented by Contemporary Art Projects USA and during Art Basel Miami week. Lolo’s main goal is that the images let you explore your own thoughts and desires, as the viewers appreciated in her exquisite photograph Triangle presented and sold by Contemporary Art Projects USA at Art Boca Raton 2017, as well will contemplate again in her new impressive photograph Cold World that will be presented in Art Boca Raton 2018.

New York born worldwide celebrated Urban Realist, combines cutting-edge techniques of street art, POP and Japanese animation for his own genre of trendforward works. His unique style inspired by Keith Haring, Andy Warhol and his mentor Ronnie Cutrone, Warhol’s assistant at The Factory during his productive prestigious years. Cutrone's bright fluorescent colors influenced Warhol, shaping Paredes color palette. In the 80s, Paredes studied at Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music and Art. In 1998, created PKGRAPHICS.COM graphics and printing company. Integrating street graffiti, landscape and POP art, he crossed from street walls to fine art collections from Los Angeles to Seoul. In Miami Beach, had a studio at the Art Center of South Florida, selling all pieces in one of his shows. In 2010, was Artist-In-Residence at the National Hotel during Art Basel Miami Beach; donated Pulgha World, 18' x 26' mosaic mural landmark in Wynwood Arts District. In 2011, opened Miguel Paredes Fine Art Gallery nearby, unveiling a 3D interior mural, Brownstone Lounge, a collaborative with Miami-based interior designer 3D specialist, Jeff Vaughan, and Broadway scenic designer/producer Antonio Marion, Marion Theatrical Productions CEO in NYC. Paredes received simultaneous proclamations from the City of Miami Beach and Village of Pinecrest for his mosaic mural donation The New Yorker/Senator to Miami Design Preservation League’s Art Deco Welcome Center, South Beach, honoring his support of historic preservation, devotion to the city and impact on the community. Mayor Cindy Lerner unveiled with him two art projects at Pinecrest Elementary, a 24' tile mosaic and a dog sculpture, part of the SmARTy Dog for SmART Schools program fundraising for electronic Smart Boards in classrooms. Paredes was Official Artist of the 12th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards creating artworks for VIP invitations, commemorative tickets, collectible poster and official program book. As judge in the 2011 BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Artisan Series, Paredes supported Russell & Danny Simmons’ Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation and Complex Media searching undiscovered talent in visual arts, the semi-finals held at his gallery and finale during Art Basel 2011. Paredes signed with ACME Archives to create artwork for Disney Underground, as a visual artist from urban underground POP art. His Disney work is top at Acme’s licensed art worldwide, including Acme Gallery at FAO Schwartz Fifth Ave, NYC. In 2013, signed with Mercedes SMART CAR for custom made Mercedes Vehicles and had a solo show at the Coral Gables Museum. In 2014, joined Astrella Celeste, Astrellainc.com, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Donovan, passing his iconic collection of music legend images and album art to his fashion designer daughter, Astrella, launching a line of t-shirts featuring Queen, The Who, Cyndi Lauper among others, and a line of clothing. In 2015, created and Art Directed the social media platform ZAPSTREAM, making murals for the headquarters in CA, ZAPPY the character & logo, joining all creative aspects. Tatiana Rajzman, a Brazilian Contemporary artist, painter and printmaker, has developed an important body of work in the field of Abstract Art. She also uses TRajz as her name d'Art and to sign her paintings. Tatiana, inspired by the colorful and impressive path traced by unique celebrated Brazilian Contemporary Master painters and architects, such as the painter Tarcila do Amaral, b. 1886 - d. 1973, or the landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx, b. 1909 - d. 1994, combines abstract and cubist elements in her Art, depicting colorful patterns and shapes to express her message to the viewers. In her paintings Tatiana Rajzman frequently talks of her own experiences and feelings. Tatiana's artistic background begun in the world of fashion design graduating from The Art Institute and continuing her career as a product developer for Perry Ellis International in Miami. Afterward, Tatiana has followed her artistic passion and inspiration through painting, with a great talent and skill, creating geometric compositions that impress and drive the viewer towards them. Her creation process is pristine and very well executed. Her clean lines and shapes almost dance on the canvas bringing happiness to the viewer. The sharp contrast between black and white and her precise colorful geometric shapes are distinctive of her work developed in acrylic on canvas and ink pen. After participating as an emerging solo artist during Art Basel Miami week Art Fairs in 2017, Tatiana Rajzman exhibited in Art Palm Beach 2018 represented by Contemporary Art Projects USA.

Anrika Rupp born in New York lives in Miami and Caracas, Venezuela. A Columbia University School of Engineering, Bachelor of Science, she also studied Communications Design at Parsons School of Design, New York, NY. Widely exhibited at European or American Art fairs, galleries, and institutions, her Art is in relevant collections worldwide. The main goal for Anrika is to merge Art with Science. She says: "I stand before nature asking: Why?... I observe and look for patterns, symmetry, a tendency product of our evolution. With their resolution range, our eyes see certain sizes. Developing tools to see what is larger or smaller, we observe patterns and repetitions within scales emulating other scales. Few simple rules create all that we see in nature's design, efficiency, and scalability. Atoms interact without divulging the secret of what we call life and why certain combinations result in a living being and others a rock... A small variation can lead to an entirely different result. But, it is always coherent and harmonious, often aesthetically beautiful." Regarding her successful Series Galaxy in a Box Anrika says: "In my studies, spheres arise persistently. Viruses are spherical as planets, moons and most celestial bodies. My latest series of spherical objects is inspired in the space wanderers documented by the Hubble Space Telescope. Those impressive orbs floating in the vastness of space, some cold and quiet, others a furnace of atomic fusion, all together give me awe, longing, and infinite loneliness. The pull they exert on my imagination fuels my drive to search for understanding, inspiring me to find the origin of the sense of identity that the vastness of outer space and the atomic world create in me." Gary Traczyk currently lives and work in Miami, FL. Traczyk attended Miami’s New World School of the Arts and art classes at an international program in Italy, where he had resided before, for five years during childhood. Traczyk has said on his early encounter with Art: “Growing up there, studying Renaissance Art and drawing in charcoal, had an enormous influence on me.” Today, Gary Traczyk creates unique, lively and attractive, one of a kind, mirror polished stainless-steel sculptures that with their curved balanced arabesque shapes interact with their viewers, almost as if they were dancing with them. The artist says about his creative process, which takes from eight to twelve weeks: “There are no molds... Nothing is drawn out. Each sculpture has its own personality... To create my sculptures, I use marine grade stainless steel that is cut on a band saw. The metal is then grinded down to smooth the edges. After this process, I sand the stainless steel from 50 to 400 grit and next buff it out with rouge. Then, I start to form the metal around organic objects and jigs that I previously created. When the metal reaches a form to my liking, I sand it out, polishing it again to achieve the mirror finish. The balances of my sculptures are strictly done on a trial and error basis. They are kinetic and move for several minutes with one touch. The pivoting point is a stainless-steel bearing. I use geometric forms in space to interact with negative space, creating movement of light and reflections of the surrounding area. My final product are timeless art pieces." One precious remarkable goal in this artist's successful career has been to donate some of his sculptures to health-related charities, including those fighting cancer, autism, and Parkinson’s disease, such as the Lupus Foundation, Arthritis Foundation, Breast Cancer Awareness, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, Young Arts (former National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts), Escondido Children's Museum, Operation Smile, Baptist Hospital, Fisher Island Day School, Boys and Girls Club of Broward County and Miami Marathon. The Artist has worked with the National Foundation for Advancement of the Arts and the Miami Children’s Museum. Michele A. Utley-Voigt from California lives and work in CT and NYC. Widely exhibited, collected and awarded, she studied at The Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design, Los Angeles, CA; Parsons School of Design, Paris, France; Bachelor in Pre-Law/Political Science, California State University, Los Angeles, CA and Women's History at Glendale College. Michele says: "I worked in oils since early life... The cause for which I create is my acute foresight and sense of the interconnectedness of all elements of all time. The dialogue I consign includes all elements past and present, their atmosphere and their energy collective interacting with one another. I paint to deliver a vision that others have not seen, what is seen and unseen, beauty after the tragedy, existence pictorially fragmented, as the energy and emotion around each being. I engage, evolve and cultivate these works until the moment does arise that I produce them. I recognize the progression in color, form, material, and shape... Current events can influence and altering the works. Present affairs impact the images but frequently their purpose is so interwoven with the past that they often forecast occurrences before they transpire. My works and their implications are everlasting. I paint stories of the human experience. The soul of life depicted in figures interacting within a realm of time. I carry and grow images from inside myself until I create." Anrika merges Art with Science. In mathematics, a permutation arranges members of a set-in sequence or order. Rupp studied the phenomena moving forward to create a trademark for her own Phermutations program. She says: "Atoms interact without

Using one or more photographs to represent particles, I combine, reorder, create Phermutations (photographic permutations) of the original combining all in one image. The first permutation has a different visual effect, as the image grows according to pre-established rules that vary for different images you must move away from it to see an entirely different picture the seed image could not predict. Contemporary Art Projects USA has developed a specialized marketing program to promote gallery members, employing a variety of written and online publications; as well as a Sales and Marketing Department to undertake promotional and sales activities on the artists’ behalf by way of a clearly identifiable portfolio that will be consistently presented to collectors, development, institutions, etc. under a separate contractual agreement between the Sales Department and the artists. Artists will be recommended – at the curator’s discretion - to participate in gallery projects, exhibitions, and art fairs.
