INTERIOR DESIGN TRENDS SPRING 2017
WHAT IS
THE COLOR OF THE YEAR?
WE ARE READY TO SHIP FINISH YOUR PROJECT NOW >
It is a symbolic color selection of what we see taking place in our culture and that ends up serving as an expression of a mood and an attitude.
For the first time, Pantone introduces two shades (Rose Quartz & Serenity) as the PANTONE Colors of the Year 2016. Rose Quartz is a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. Serenity is weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky above us, bringing feelings of respite and relaxation even in turbulent times. Find out which are the best ways to use Pantone’s colors of the year in your interior design projects. Rose Quartz and Serenity Blue are two calm and peaceful shades that will transform your home and we are risky enough to say that they will completely transform your life. Pantone has made its choice and we absolutely love these pastel colors: a palette of colors that give you an overwhelming sensation of tranquility.

The blending of two shades – Rose Quartz and Serenity – was chosen for the first time as a softer approach to this upcoming year. As consumers seek mindfulness and well-being as an antidote to modern day stresses, welcoming colors that psychologically fulfill our yearning for reassurance and security are becoming more prominent. Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace. Whether in soft or hard surface material, the pairing of Rose Quartz and Serenity brings calm and relaxation. Appealing in all finishes, matte, metallic and glossy, the engaging combo joins easily with other mid-tones including greens and purples, rich browns, and all shades of yellow and pink. Add in silver or hot brights for more splash and sparkle.

The soothing, calming nature of colors in the Spring collections are led by PANTONE 13-1520 Rose Quartz, a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. Like a serene sunset, flushed cheek or budding flower, Rose Quartz reminds us to reflect on our surroundings during the busy but lighthearted spring and summer months. Weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky above us, serenity blue comforts with a relaxing effect, bringing a feeling of respite even in turbulent times. A transcendent blue, Serenity provides us with a naturally connected sense of space. It is widely accepted that blue is the most beloved colour in the world. Therefore, it wasn’t entirely surprising that one of Pantone’s picks for 2016 Color of the Year is a cornflowerinspired hue dubbed Serenity. That idea that blue equals earthy peacefulness is probably why it’s so favoured. It’s a color that brings to mind the sky and water and tranquility. And this year, in a departure from the usual one-color choice, Serenity is but one of two shades that Pantone has chosen. Take a look at our beautiful gallery with great serenity inspirations for your home!
