Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money online. There are thousands of people who have made a fortune from nothing more than selling other peoples products. I’ve talked with a lot of people about affiliate marketing to get their opinion on it and many people think that you can’t make much money from it because they tried a couple times and failed. Well, I’m here to tell you that you should completely ignore these people who say you can’t earn a living as an affiliate marketer. It is without question one of the easiest ways to make money online. The reason that most people fail at it is they think about it from the wrong point of view. If you expect to make millions after creating one blog post with an affiliate link on a blog that has a PageRank of zero then why would you want to continue trying new things after that doesn’t work out? You have to look at it from a realistic point of view. Making money as an affiliate means you need traffic. Without traffic, nothing gets sold. It’s not an overnight process. Enjoy the journey, learn and grow. Do this and you will do well. Ok, so here’s the 3 steps that you must take to become a super affiliate: 1. Choose an offer. The majority of affiliates fail right away because they mess up this step. You have to choose an offer that gives you the highest chance of success.

For example, when choosing an offer on Clickbank most people choose the products that are being sold by the most people. This is the absolute worst thing you can do as the competition on that product and it’s related keywords is going to be ferocious. If you choose a product that isn’t being sold by hundreds of people then you have a much, much higher chance of success. Using the Clickbank example—you want to look for a stat called the gravity number. It will let you know how many different affiliates have sold that particular product recently. Anything over 100 is too high. Look for products that have been sold by between 20 and 100 people. Around 20 to 50 is the sweet spot. The reason being that if it has some sales then it must have a solid conversion rate but since it isn’t too many people selling it then the competition is lower so you can enter that market. 2. Drive traffic to that offer. Now that you have your offer then you want to start testing different marketing channels so you can drive traffic to the offer you have chosen. Here is a short of list of what we have found to be some of the most effective methods for generating traffic. ● Forum Posting – Add your websites link to your signature and help people. ● Paid Traffic – You can test everything from PPC to PPV. Google “PPC” and “PPV” and you will see tons of great paid traffic sites. ● Use free PPC coupons from Fiverr.com

● Make your blog post into a slide and put it on slideshare.net ● Video marketing with Youtube ● Yahoo Answers ● Blogging and Guest Blogging ● Article Submissions to Article directory websites. ● Social Bookmarking ● SEO 3. Continuously test new offers and new traffic methods. The last step is to simple keep testing new offers and traffic methods until you find what works best for you. The more you fail and keep going, then the more you know about what doesn’t work. It’s like being a scientist and succeeding through the process of elimination. Everyone wants to succeed on their first try, but succeeding on your first try is rare. We must fail forward and enjoy the process if we want to truly succeed. This process of becoming a super affiliate is so easy once you know what to do. Now, go out there and start making some sales!
