Mario Arlati was born in Milan 1947. After some year of erratic studies he undertook his artistic training at the Art School at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan. Following in this direction, his first works where in a purely figurative style, but in the 1970s he discovered his real dimension in Ibiza, the smallest of the Balearic Islands. Since then, Mario Arlati has lived in Ibiza for part of the year and his work bears clear witness to the artistic involvement. From figurative works he has moved on to an informal "materic" style, following in the footsteps of the Spanish school. Ibiza is the place, where he started making the "Wall of Ibiza", to represent his hippy life on the island. His "walls" are a representation of the bright, sunny atmosphere of the island of the symbiosis between man and nature, the incessant action of the sun, the wind and the sea on the works of men giving life to unique incomparable objects. Married with 3 children, the artist works in Milan, but his heart belongs to Ibiza and specifically, to a small village called San Jose. Its old town is what appeals to Mario the most, so he travels between Milan and Ibiza constantly. To him art is a passion - a movement, like acting or dancing. "I believe the spirit is the same, whatever art you're engaging in," he adds. To him first comes art, then business. And his business is blossoming.

Mario sells about 1500 works a year all over the world (USA, Spain, Italy etc) and the price depends on the size of the piece. To be exact, his works start from 20 000 euros and they're all worth it. They say that one becomes an artist, when your pieces are distinctive and Mario Arlati truly is one. You can immediately recognise his work, when you see one. One very special apartment, where you can find Mario's artwork on the walls belongs to Stephen Alan "Steve" Wynn, who is an American casino resort/real-estate developer with a net worth of $1.5 billion. The luxurious 5,600-square-foot duplex penthouse residence on the 20th and 21st floors of the storied Plaza Hotel at Fifth Avenue and Central Park South has chandeliers and accessories by Venini and artwork by Mario Arlati complement the furniture. According to the Wall Street Journal, the furnished penthouse sold to casino mogul Steve Wynn for about $23 million.
