Our Portfolio Highlights of 2014 We have been involved with a wide range of projects in 2014, including a number that have received a great deal of publicity. We are very proud of our role in all of these. Many of these projects are at the forefront of hospitality interior design, having been created by world-leading design practices, often near us in London. Design themes for 2014 include contrasting styles, colours and textures, often incorporating ‘vintage’ styles as well as ‘industrial chic’ (ie. factory-style). Sometimes styles differ from table to table, sometimes they differ around the same table. A further trend is the increasing use of colour, sometimes ‘mismatched’ with nearby furniture. Communal dining, often using benches, remains a wellused route to maximising sales; usually these tables and benches are bespoke.

Le Nautique Restaurant One of the top fish and sea-food restaurants in the UK is located on the Channel Island of Guernsey. Set on the picturesque seafront of St Peter Port, Le Nautique Restaurant is run by the Chef-Proprietor Gunter Botzenhardt. Jamie Oliver Restaurant We supplied bespoke furniture for the refurbishment of the Angel, Islington branch of this renowned chain. As well as offering outstanding menus, Jamie’s Italian restaurants are recognised for their neighbourly interiors, which often include an “Italian table” where people relax, share, and enjoy each other’s company. My Lounge - Gatwick Airport My Lounge at Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal offers a relaxed space for enjoyment by laid back travellers. Designed by Inside Out Architects, the scheme includes a varied mixture of furniture in differing materials, textures and colours. Famous Daphne’s Restaurant is managed by one of the UK’s most respected and high-profile restaurant groups, Caprice Holdings. The restaurant has recently undergone a major refurbishment. As you can see, the iconic Mediterranean charm and luxurious feeling has been retained and enhanced with new features such as vintage Italian 1950s Murano glass chandeliers, modern European artwork and of course classically-styled furniture. Mercure Newbury Hotel Mercure’s Elcot Park Hotel near Newbury is a country retreat developed in a Georgian Manor house surrounded by 16 acres of landscaped gardens. The tasteful design concept developed by Helen Hooper has provided our Hotel Division with exactly the type of challenges we love to take on. The Contract Chair Company worked alongside the award winning design agency Blacksheep on this new restaurant concept opened in July on Carnaby Street. Our team was challenged to source and supply furniture to match the original design concept of ‘raw with a human touch’. To our delight, the project has won “The Best Standalone Restaurant” award at the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards 2014. Gorgeous Kitchen Again working closely with Blacksheep Interiors, we supplied furniture for 2014’s biggest restaurant opening at Heathrow Airport. The brief was to create a premium luxury-dining space that would sit alongside the airport’s business lounges, providing travellers with an exceptional dining experience. Some of London’s most prestigious restaurants are run by the celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. We have been working alongside his team during the last couple of years supplying furniture for their openings and refurbishments. The Narrow (top left) and Union Street Cafe (top right, bottom) were probably our most prominent projects this year, although other restaurant openings are in the pipeline. Quaglino’s Restaurant The Contract Chair Company has been involved in the refurbishment of the iconic Mayfair restaurant Quaglino’s. Working alongside Russell Sage Studio, another long standing partner of ours and a renown design agency specialising in hospitality interiors, we have selected and supplied loose furniture as exclusive as the character of this venue itself. Our Showroom Our home is a 6,000 square foot working showroom in Hammersmith, which we built for ourselves in 2011. We have over 500 dining type chairs, 100 table top and table base samples, 50 barstools and a dedicated outdoor furniture section with over 100 items. We have fabric books, colour swatches, wood samples and table edges. Please do drop-in, but if you get in touch beforehand, we can ensure a manager is available to answer your questions.
