The future of light... Danish modern lighting designs are fundamentally simplicity of form, function and spare use of ornamentation. At ilomio we create and fashion modern lighting along these ideals with technology at its core. Designers, Esko Schmidt-Sorensen and Peter Williamson, spent years developing a way to capitalize on the best use of LED in decorative light fixtures, which up to now have not been widely used or effective. Technology has always been key to lighting since the invention of the Edison bulb in the 1800’s. The many advancements in lighting since then are largely in the architectural sector. Today, decorative lighting is now integrated in most commercial and private spaces. Ilomio is changing and blending the art and science between modern decorative lighting and best in architectural grade LED technology. We believe that the future of decorative lighting should embody great design, choice and the highest level of task related light. Crafted quality and purposeful illumination is our focus.

Handmade in Denmark The ilomio brand of products are all hand-assembled, just as the best Danish brands have done since before World War II. Each of our fixtures contain highly engineered components and technology that are assembled by skilled craftsmen with attention to detail. Handcrafted work is at the core of our products. Like many companies we rely on digital technology to manufacture components. Such that our designs are precise and exact, which was not possible in the early days of lighting. Our skilled hands are still required to build each fixture. Not only has technology allowed for more precise manufacturing but advances in material sciences have provided a new world of raw materials that we now deploy into our fixtures. Eco-friendly and effective, all come together to shape the ilomio light fixtures. All this is being built in our factory in a beautiful seaside town of Praestø just a short distance from Copenhagen.
Small in size, but rich on history; Praestø on Southern Zealand is a picturesque ancient merchant borough dating back to the 14th century, at the bottom of a small fjord of the same name. It makes for a worthwhile excursion if you’re in the area.

Wireless Technology is our core. From the hi-efficiency LED with top CRI to CNC manufactured parts and Wireless controls. Our world is quickly adapting to mobile and individual control. Ilomio embraces the use and adaptation of the best technology to not only personally manage our light fixtures but allow for greater efficiency and selection. Our light fixtures are available with embedded Wifi controllers that allows the user to wirelessly adjust color temperature, hue, and dimming of the light with a simple app on a smart phone. Commercial environments are looking for adjustment and control of their spaces for daily changes or events. Residential customers want to modify settings and manage them without cost or confusion. Healthcare is looking to deploy circadian rhythm to assist their patients with science of light as it effects our health and activity. All is happening now with ilomio lighting. This is the future of light.

Information Warranty All ilomio products carry with them a certificate of authenticity declaring that each product is made in our Danish factory following the highest standards of light manufacturing. We certify this product is free from any manufacture defect for one year for non-electronic parts. We warranty all drivers and LED for 3 and 5 years respectively, with the exception of an improper use or manipulation.
Materials All materials used in the ilomio product lines are carefully considered for their practical use in the creation of fine quality light fixtures but also for their weight and earth-friendly re-use. We have chosen to fabricate all our spun metal from recycled air-craft grade aluminum for a high grade fit and finish. LED elements are specific to our products. Created for high output, low consumption, close diode proximity and low heat output. We use the highest quality diodes that have been proven and tested to perform.
Compliance / Testing Every light fixture we craft and build carries a compliance label. All units are tested and meet the highest standards for the global electronics and lighting market. In addition to our compliance, we offer IES files for all of our suspension and pendant and wall mounted fixtures. Many of our products have IES, LM79, LM80 and TM21 testing complete for the commercial markets. Each product that uses our wifi control option is tested in our factory for proper use and set up prior to shipping to ensure quick set up and installation.
