The Revival Kit was born out of the need for tools to help churches and small groups or cells to convey an effective message for this generation. It consists of 12 teachings and 12 testimonial videos with a message that will allow you to see hearts revived. We know that it will be of great help to your ministry.

PURPOSE

This book contains 12 basic teachings about the Christian life. It was written with the purpose of being used in cells or small groups. They are 12 powerful Bible studies that will take every person to have a true encounter with the Cross and with Jesus. 11 REVIVAL

“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” (2 Timothy 1:6).

The term ‘Revive, comes from the Greek ἀναζωπυρέω (“anazopureo”) (1) which means to maintain a flame fully lit, to activate or exercise. Paul encourages Timothy to exercise and revive the fire of his heart, to be a living testimony of who he is in Christ, to demonstrate at all times that he is a son of God that possesses His salvation and that he does not give up unto many trials.

Something to think “Bob Wieland lost both legs when serving his country in the War of Vietnam. For an athlete with dreams of a professional sports career, this tragedy was especially hard to bear. But Bob did not fall into the destruction of bitterness. Through his trust in God and in His Word he visualized his future in a very different light. He never saw himself bound to a wheel chair or complaining to God about his sorry state. He had a vision and claimed every single promise to see his dreams fulfilled in spite of his condition. “I do the best I can in applying God’s Word to my life, because I know it works.”

Bob would take the Word of God and proclaim: “the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.” (1 Corinthians 1:25 NIV) Perhaps this explains why Bob, who walks with his hands, has completed a three-year walk across the United States, a race across America in a normal bicycle, the New York and Los Angeles marathons, the triathlon, Hawaii’s Ironman and has raised a record weight of 507 pounds on bench press. He has truly found that God can perfect His strength through our weaknesses and that a clear vision of our future can be the most powerful weapon in the world to make each one of our dreams come true. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Revive the fire “And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:18-19) Our fervent longing must be to achieve fullness in the Holy Spirit, to allow Him to flood our life with His presence and His anointing to be able to deeply experience His love, acceptance and endorsement. “Be filled” implies participating in the nature proper to God’s children, conviction of sin, righteousness and the judgment to come. This fullness allows us to obtain the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts. For this reason, we speak of Jesus to others, He will speak through us, we will be a burning flame and He will have first place in our life.

Activate your gifts Our daily goal must be to give the best of ourselves and to fully develop in the setting where the Lord placed us. For this we must occupy ourselves in perfecting our gifts and exercising them with those that need God. We must also persevere in developing our talents as this allows us to be an active part of the ministry of Christ, to contribute and serve from the various platforms the Lord gives us access to extend His work and reach all of those who do not know Him. The Bible speaks of how we are one body with many functions. Ask God to show you your talents and help you develop them. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Compassionate heart There are many people that need a word of encouragement, that need us to pray for them. But many times we let these opportunities of helping someone go by. Ask God to give you the same heart Jesus had, He would see the multitudes and had compassion on them. You must love those that do not know Jesus and ask Him to make you an instrument to see a change in your community.

Conclusion

God wants to use your life to revive the fire for Jesus and doing His work. You must long to be filled with the Holy Spirit, desire that He activates your gifts and have a heart like Jesusâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;, full of love and compassion.

Prayer

Thanks God for beginning something new in me. I want to live filled with Your fire and that You would be number one in my life. Fill me with Your Spirit, show me my gifts and talents to be able to use them for Your work. Give me a compassionate heart and that I may be able to speak to all of those that surround me about Jesus. AmĂŠn .

ACTIVITY 11 Revive the fire

Materiales: A couple of small candles A lighter

Instructions: The leader will light their candle, then briefly explain and ask everyone to say a few characteristics of fire, the flame (heat, energy, illumination, etc.)Then they will light the candle of the person next to them and this person will do the same with the next.

Application: That is how God wants revival to reach our lives. First in the form of a small flame, but in that same way the light of God will extend to other people. (Note. Please be careful when lighting candles, wherever possible do this at end of the meeting outside the house)
