EVENTS Bourgondisch ’s-Hertogenbosch Bourgondisch ’s-Hertogenbosch was first organised in 1987 with the goal to get more attention for the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch and to attract hospitality facilities to establish itself in the city. Since 2015, several events and workshops have been added to the programme. Reasons for this are the developments in the food branch regarding experience and the growing interest in healthy food and preparation of food. Click here for more information.
Dutch Agrifood Week The Dutch Agri Food Week is the ultimate national stage that focuses on food and food production. Various parties from the agri-food sector will all be participating in the Dutch Agri Food Week, sharing their enthusiasm, knowledge and skills with society. Farmers, businesses from the supply and processing industry, government and scientists will all show how they are working to ensure the availability of safe and healthy food for us and later, for the global population of 9 billion people. Dutch Design Week Dutch Design Week is an annual event about Dutch design, hosted in Eindhoven. The event takes place around the last week of October and is a nine-day event with exhibitions, workshops, seminars and parties at over eighty venues. Dutch Technology Week Every year, the Dutch Technology Week takes place. During this week the most amazing and innovative technology stories will be told. During the DTW everyone can see, feel and experience how promising and stimulating it is to contribute to inventions that change the world. Click here for more information.
Glow Eindhoven will be all about light during Festival GLOW which is an annual event.. Around 40 light artists have created light installations, sculptures, projections and performances. These all offer the visitor of GLOW a surprisingly new perspective on the city. GLOW can be visited, free of charge. Over 730.000 people visited GLOW last year. Click here for more information.
Maritiem ‘s-Hertogenbosch Every two years, Maritiem ‘s-Hertogenbosch takes place, the biggest maritimehistorical inland waterway event in the Netherlands. The event takes three days that are all about inland navigation. You can see the biggest collection of traditional ships and there are numerous festivities in the city centre. EDUCATIONAL VENUES Van Abbemuseum The Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven is one of the first public museums for contemporary art to be established in Europe. Philips Museum The Old Lamp Factory in the center of Eindhoven, where Gerard Philips first started out in 1891, has been fully refurbished to create the splendid Philips Museum. An imposing glass gallery has been built around the front of the building. Since it has been renovated, with its distinctive glass façade in place, the Factory looks almost as if it has been set in a display case. AUTOTRON ROSMALEN Autotron Rosmalen is located in a natural environment with a lot of history. It used to be a car theme park but nowadays, it is an event venue that offers a lot of possibilities for both indoor and outdoor events. HEISCHE HOEVE De Heische Hoeve is located next to nature reserve De Maaspoort. It used to be a family farm and is still used as a farm but it is also a perfect venue for meetings and events. Stedelijk Museum The Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch combines a unique collection of ceramics and jewellery with exhibitions of contemporary art and design. The core of the museum collection consists of art jewellery and ceramics from the 20th and 21th centuries. Prehistoric Village The Eindhoven Museum is an archaeological open-air museum in Eindhoven on the Iron Age and Middle Ages in the province of North Brabant .It focuses on the daily lives and routines of people in the time periods mentioned, through demonstrations and recreations of buildings, practices and routines. The museum features a lot of living history exhibits as well as semi-historical re-enactments.
