Yep, we’re pretty big fans of Tom Holland, the actor / dancer. He chats to TG .

Hey Tom! What were the best bits of working on Dolittle ? It’s a beautiful story that’s heartwarming and it’s told by so many talented people. I love animals so to be a part of this story has been an amazing experience.

Who are your fave animals? My dog Tessa is the absolute best dog in the world. I have to travel a lot for work and she can’t always come with me. If she can’t, I always make sure I FaceTime her. I am not kidding!

What is your spirit animal? I am fascinated by a lot of animals. Gorillas are pretty cool though. Jip like most dogs is extremely loyal to those that he cares about so that’s a quality I’d like to think I share with him. I think we could all learn a lot from dogs about loyalty.

Did you get a chance to hang out much with your incredible castmates? It’s a little diff erent doing an animated fi lm as obviously you don’t need to all be on set at the same time. Dolittle has this amazing cast with so many

talented people. I am sure we will all be in the same room and have a great time at the premiere.

What’s it like seeing Robert Downey Jr. in this particular world, a diff erent one from the MCU? We have such a great relationship. He’s one of the biggest movie stars in the world, but from the fi rst day I worked with him he was so kind to me and took me under his wing. I am used to seeing him as Tony Stark so yeah, it was great working with him on something new. He is a really good friend and such a talent.

If you could talk to animals, which ones would you most want to speak to and what would you say?

There is no way that she can’t know, but I would tell my dog how much I love her and thank her for always being there for me.

There’s more to Dolittle than meets the eye. We think it has a message that humans are more like other kinds of creatures than we think and that kindness is important. What messages in it really speak to you? Kindness is a message for sure in the fi lm. We have a planet full of so many incredible animals and it’s all of our jobs to make sure we can do all we can for them. What other roles / projects do you have in the pipeline? We hope to see you dancing soon, will you be? You can never rule out dancing! Seriously though, 2020 there is a lot happening for me and you will see me is some very diff erent roles.
