Foreword We are pleased to present this Strategic Horizon document to our CCC community. It has been shaped through consultation with students, families, staff and our College Board, recognising all that has gone before and setting a clear vision for the future. The story of CCC began a little over 30 years ago with people of faith who had the vision to establish a Christian College that would partner with families in raising their children to know God and recognise His plan for their lives. This ministry has flourished ever since, growing to become one of the leading schools in the region. Our College is uniquely operated by 4 churches (5 congregations). We are founded on a biblical, Christ-centred approach to education. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2022, we affirm that this foundation underpins our strategic thinking and the way it is enacted. Our mission has not changed, but the landscape, culture and context must cyclically inform and re-shape our future focus. CCC is a College that has moved through infancy, childhood, and the awkward youth years. We are now stepping into true adulthood - bringing an expectation of excellence across a diverse range of subject offerings, educational partnerships, career pathways, staffing, facilities and resources. We are charged with the responsibility of equipping students so they can confidently embrace the opportunities and challenge of living in a post-Christendom world.
“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13
Schools are about learning and growing. In fact, we are all on a learning journey. At CCC, we have identified specific guideposts (dimensions) that mark our way. These 6 dimensions speak directly to our Graduate Statement and our CLEAR Values. As your children experience the ‘CCC Way’, we hope these guideposts will be evident in the shaping of their faith and character. A strategic document should never be published as an academic exercise and left on the shelf. It must become a living document, revisited constantly as the organisation celebrates significant strides and responds to the ever changing horizon. We invite you to partner with us in this exciting journey.
