How are you living this great professional moment with the release of your single, “Show me the Money”? Beukes (Singer): Right now, I’m sat at home, on the island of Menorca, Spain. As far as ‘great and professional’ goes I don’t know. We’ve been in quarantine for 10 weeks and only just came out. Still adjusting to the real world, I guess. How long have you worked on it? Beukes (Singer): It came a long way actually. The original written as a topline for a Hip Hop track with a friend and sat as a demo for years on a hardrive. Then Chris revived it as a Livingston track. All in about 4 years I’d say.

Do you remember your approach to the world of music? Beukes (Singer): To be honest no, I don’t have an approach. I just tend to do what feels good, but I suppose that’s what we all do. What things or people do you consider as your biggest influences, especially for this single? Beukes (Singer): At the time I was listening to a new artist at the time called Leftboy, we were signed to the same management. I loved his melodic rap style.
