After achieving my undergraduate degree at the same institute, I decided to complete my masters within the same area of work. My qualifications are within Manufacturing Engineering and Management. I found this degree very well suited to good problem solving skills and numerical nature. This compounded with a good base of qualifications from school and sixth form, ensures I am a very suited to this degree. While being at University my communication skills have improved vastly, mainly due to team working exercises and presentations. In addition to these skills I have learnt and participated in a wide variety of new tasks, all of which give me an assortment of new skills . 2009-2010. Loughborough University. Relevant Work Experience Within my degree I competed a sandwich year as a design engineer. This gave me valuable experience working in a team and improved my communication. Alongside this the year gave me a large amount of responsibility and accountability. This year was very enjoyable, gave me a great sense of achievement and gave me vital knowledge about working life. Alongside this I completed two weeks voluntary work at GKN Driveline, Walsall. During this period, I shadowed various members of staff to get a feel for the work environment. This was completed prior to my time at University and was used to cement the idea of taking engineering from a hobby to a career. Interests and Activities Even though I am still very young, I have participated in many activities. The majority of these activities revolve around sport, which I have played a variety of different disciplines to a variety of different levels. I currently am playing semi-professional football in the Conference North, alongside giving me an income which aids the funding of my masters degree, juggling the demanding training regime and a demanding course requires impeccable time management skills. Alongside my club commitments, I play for England Universities and the University side. Other sports that I have undertaken include; Rugby, Cricket, Golf, Athletics, Water Polo and Basketball. With addition to this I also have helped out coaching goalkeepers for a local side. This gives me great satisfaction, helping others progress and for them to achieve their goals. Along with all my sporting activities and achievement I enjoy socialising and being around people. I am a very much a people person and this trait enables me to improve my communication and team working skills on a daily basis. Skills Profile Communication  Experience in team working exercises giving me different roles that help me improve and develop communication skills.  Giving presentations to many individuals improves communication techniques. I am also capable to do this without the need for visual aids. Team Working  Involved in sporting and many academic activities that involve being a member of a team, all of which improve my ability to work as an integral member of a team.  In a vast number of group projects for academic purposes means I have been involved in planning, organisation and co-ordination when working with many different personalities. Computing  A very good knowledge of basic computer programs such as; spreadsheets, presentation software and word processing software. Such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.  In-depth Knowledge of Unigraphics NX5.0 and Inventor CAD software.  Experience of Unigraphics NX3.0, Solid Works and Pro Desktop CAD software.  A basic knowledge of C language and programming. Problem Solving  Due to an excellent Mathematical and Scientific background, in which these subjects are based around problem solving tasks.  During part time work and work experience, tasks have been undertaken that improve problem solving skills.
