Back to school for our talented class of 2020 Children have returned to school for another year and everyone can be proud of the academic standards of the district’s educational institutions. One school in particular, Kin Kin State School, performed strongly last year and is set to do so again. “This school strikes a wonderful balance between academic achievement, environmental awareness, community spirit and the importance of just being a good person,” is typical of the posts on its Facebook page. Kin Kin has a strong commitment to being a sustainable ‘Earth Smart School’ that values its strong links to the local community. It is a beneficiary of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation, which supports food education in schools. The vision is for every Australian child to form positive food habits for life.
