Cooroy Family Practice serves the community VIVIANNE Dawalibi saw an opportunity to contribute to the local community of Cooroy, and this motivated her investment in buying Cooroy Family Practice in 2010. She had a vision for the practice, namely to develop the Myall Street Clinic to provide a wide range of health services under one roof. Today, Cooroy Family Practice has a comprehensive health care team of general practitioners, nurses, a midwife-nurse, a dietician and easy access and referrals to telehealth specialists including paediatrics, child psychiatry, dermatology, gastroenterology, general surgery, rheumatology, respiratory treatment, neurology, geriatrics, infectious disease treatment and much more. Practice Manager/Managing Director, Vivianne, said that she is genuinely proud of their nursing team, particularly the midwife and the services provided by the team while waiting for their new female doctor to join them. “The empathy, compassion, capabilities and care that they provide to patients make them the real treasures of the team.” Vivianne said their midwife has a special interest in pregnancy and women's health including pre-natal and post-natal shared care, as well as checks for newborn.
