THE Noosa Country Show is just around the corner and this year’s theme is “where town meets country”.

Organisers of this year’s show, on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 September, have been working hard to bring the community a show that offers something for everyone in the greater Noosa Shire.

Noosa Show Society President Rob Graham said the show is an “ideal way to introduce those living in our urban areas, especially families, to our rural roots”.

Run by the Noosa Agricultural, Horticultural and Industrial Society, the Noosa Show has been a feature of the community for over 110 years.

“We have a long history to uphold in running the Noosa Country Show each year and while there has been a population shift in the shire over the last few decades, our country heritage, and those who continue to produce the food that we all consume, should be celebrated.

“Nowhere else in the Shire will you be able to see, for instance, competition woodchop events, a horse whisperer, championship showjumping, and even dogs herding ducks – and of course there will be rides and show bags in sideshow alley,” said Rob.

A highlight of the Noosa Show this year is Guy McLean and his amazing horses on both days. There will be fireworks on Friday night; the woodchopping events will be held on Saturday; and the Honky Tonk Rodeo, which attracts thousands of new and old rodeo fans, will be on Saturday evening.

“I think we’ve managed to put together a program of attractions and events for all ages, and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the 2022 Noosa Country Show,” said Rob.
