Class of 2017 - it’s your time to shine

NOOSA District State High School graduates outshone themselves last week at the official graduating ceremony, transforming themselves from Year 12 school students to young adults ready to face their futures. There was much laughter, a few tears and camaraderie as students made their final farewells to friends, teachers and school life.

Congratulations Class of 2017. We wish you every success in whatever pathway you take. The world is your oyster. As someone famous once said, “all our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them”. More photos Pages 16 & 17

Be the change Geoff Edwards, Cooroy & Pomona Community Bank Branches of Bendigo Bank As things get busier all around the hinterland, change is inevitable. It’s not easy keeping one of our countries’ best kept secrets and our regional lifestyle is bringing many new residents to our shire. Good communication is often one of the signs of a healthy community, so I’m perplexed when big businesses seem to be take this as their signal to leave town rather than stick by the locals who have long supported them. Our Pomona Community Bank branch has been the sole banking facility in town over the past few years for this reason. As a business, it’s worked well for us as more customers realise we’re a full-service bank, provide excellent customer service and live by the principal of feeding into the prosperity of our town, not from it. Some Pomona and hinterland customers remained loyal and decided to drive into Cooroy to continue their banking relationship with our competitors. What has left so many shaking their heads now is why big-four banks are leaving towns like ours across the state, isolating their customers and forcing them into unwanted change. Well, with inconvenience comes opportunity. Some still think Community Banks are building societies, charities or not as secure as a big-four bank. Bendigo Bank is Australia’s fifth largest bank in retail terms. The change Cooroy is experiencing right now is opening the eyes of more people to the infinite possibilities Bendigo Bank provides through its 315 Community Bank branches around the country. There are ten branches on the Sunshine Coast alone and three of those (Cooroy, Pomona and Tewantin) are all in Noosa. It’s been a busy time as more customers come to see the services we provide the hinterland, but it’s not the only thing that sets us apart. We look after individual banking needs, small and big business accounts and are competitive on all products. Most of all though, we’re here to stay. Last week, we celebrated our 15th birthday in Cooroy. We came into being because the people of Cooroy said they wanted their own bank. Our shareholders live here, bank here and believe in

Page 6 - Cooroy Rag, November 22, 2017

this town. Since we became profitable in 2008, our Cooroy Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank has returned more than $700,000 to local schools, clubs, organisations and events. Christmas in Cooroy, a $50,000 donation to help save the Memorial Hall and School of Arts, Cooroy Fusion and Noosa Country Show are all examples in 2017 alone, but are just some of our many other sponsorships. Why do we do it? Because it’s through our customers’ banking that we generate profits that go into supporting our community. It’s why our team loves coming to work each day and why we’re growing and changing with our community. We want to give our town a real say in its own future. We believe successful customers and successful communities create a successful bank - in that order. So, if you want to bank where the customer is relevant and connected to its community, give us a try. Whether it’s in Cooroy, Pomona of Tewantin, we offer a full range of products just like any full service bank and you’ll become more aware of work we do where it matters most. Bendigo Bank – be the change. Geoff Edwards is the Senior Branch Manager of the Cooroy and Pomona Community Bank branches of Bendigo Bank.

YOU’RE down to zero on your home loan? Congratulations! You’ve finally done what many people dream of. But while the goal of paying off your home loan is a common one, it’s important to work out a smart plan for how to use the money that used to go to your lender. Your first instinct might be to reward yourself and, after years of sacrifice and hard work, why not? But once you’ve taken your dream trip or splashed out on a new toy it’s wise to take more of a longterm view. Consider boosting your super to retire your way This window provides an opportunity to take a look at the type of retirement you’re hoping to live. While you might be surprised at how much a comfortable retirement actually costs, our retirement simulator could help you determine more accurately how much you might need. Perhaps your super balance doesn’t quite match what you think is needed to fund your retirement dreams? If so, the lead up to retirement is a good time to give your super that extra boost. By channelling the money that once paid off your home loan into your super, either by salary sacrificing from your pre-tax salary or paying with after-tax funds, you can give your super a decent lift. Invest to build future wealth If your super’s in good shape, you might like to use the surplus funds to build your wealth via other investments. If you prefer investments with a lower risk profile, savings accounts or term deposits could be the way to go. But if you can invest for a five to ten-year timeframe, you might consider shares or managed funds. These can provide income in the form of

dividend payments, plus the potential for capital growth. Another option is buying an investment property. While the thought of taking on a new housing loan may be the furthest thing from your mind, the potential to cover repayments with the rental income could make it worth considering. Work less, enjoy life more Now that such a major financial commitment is no longer hanging over your head, you could consider taking a step back from work. Known as transition to retirement (TTR), this can provide financial flexibility, allowing you to work less without reducing your take-home pay, by topping it up with a portion of your super taken as a pension. A minimum age applies for you to benefit from TTR strategies and they can be quite complex. Explore your goals You may be in a position to pursue other goals that go beyond building your wealth. Perhaps you want to give your kids a leg up financially or assist ageing parents to live a happier and secure retirement. Whatever your future plans, please contact our office on 07 5447 7740 to assess your situation and help you understand the impact of each option to find the path that is right for you. *Chad Monroe of Provision Wealth Management 1 Pty Ltd | ABN 44 164 359 568 and Provision Wealth Management Pty Ltd | ABN: 52 149 014 004, trading as Provision Wealth Management, are Authorised Representatives and Credit Representatives of AMP Financial Planning Pty Limited AFS Licence No. 232706 What you need to know: Any advice in this editorial is of a general nature only and does not take into account the objectives, financial situation or needs of any particular person. Pomona ready for fun in the Park

Local treasure, Ron ready for retirement

Alyson Covey is pictured with Geoff Edwards and Karl Doss from Pomona Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank - major sponsors of the event on November 23 POMONA is going to finish their 2017 event calendar with a bang tomorrow (November 23). A big crowd is expected in Stan Topper Park for the annual Pomona in the Park celebration and the twilight event continues to grow in fun and size. Getting underway at 5.30pm, the production will see performances from each of the 14 classes as well as the school concert band, rock band, choir and the winner of Pomona’s Got Talent. The major raffle prize to be won will be a twonight accommodation package at Eurong Beach Resort on Fraser Island in a two-bedroom apartment and there will be lots of other great prizes available to win on the night too,” she said. Plenty of food will be available, with the Cooroy Pomona Lions running their BBQ food stall and the Mr. Whippy and coffee vans will also be on site. Pomona Student Council will be selling show bags at the park on the night with proceeds going towards a new senior playground. The show bags will only be $5.00 with all goods donated by local businesses and only 100 show bags available, so you had better be quick. Events like Pomona in the Park don’t happen without generous supporters.

Apart from the many volunteers who will band together to make the celebration possible, three local businesses are doing their part to support their community. Pomona IGA, Pages Furnishers and the Pomona Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank will be major sponsors. Pomona Community Bank Branch manager, Geoff Edwards said he knows the event will be a great success. “Pomona in the Park is another great chance for Pomona to showcase its community spirit. As locals, we know it’s important for the kids, the family and most of all, the school. Our branch is able to support Pomona State School with this event and other projects because locals choose to bank with us. The more Pomona banks with us, the more we can give back. It’s part of why part why locals said they wanted their own bank in the first place. Whilst other banks choose leave the hinterland, we’re here to stay,” Geoff said. In the lead up to Pomona in the Park, the entire school community will combine to help out in creating what is a massive temporary show ground for the celebration and the Year 6 students will countdown to the fireworks display at the end of the evening.

Saturday 25 November sees Eumundi welcome Art-pop fusion supremo PHENO - who will be hosting a special workshop for the students of Eumundi School of Rock from 3 5pm, followed by an all ages concert at The Imperial Hotel from 6.30pm with special guests Alyx Dennison & Bonnie Stewart. Pheno (fee-no) is electric guitarist and vocalist Jess Green. As Pheno, she is pioneering her own style of Art-Pop. Queensland audiences may have seen Jess performing recently on guitar and backing vocals as part of Katie Noonan’s and Queensland Music Festival’s ‘Songs That Made Me’ project. Jess brings Pheno to Eumundi to celebrate the launch of her EP ‘Dragon Year’ and will be performing at The Brisbane Powerhouse as part of the Livespark Series, as well as the special workshop and concert in Eumundi. A well known freelance guitarist and vocalist, Jess is renowned as a music educator, having worked for Musica Viva In Schools for many years. She is also well regarded for teaching guitar, songwriting and im-

provisation at many schools, universities and community groups. The EP ‘Dragon Year’ was launched in May this year as part of VIVID Sydney. The music layers shimmering vocals, scorching electric guitars, synthesisers, and stomping backbeats. Influenced by artists such as Tune-Yards and St Vincent, there’s also a huge nod to 80’s heroes David Bowie and Talking Heads. The lyrical material ranges from sci-fi musings in utero (There Are Voices Out There) to ethereal callings from the deep (Shadow in The Water), with moods reminiscent of the Stranger Things soundtrack through to the fuzzy, lush indie pop of The Shins. Tracks such as Shadow in the Water give away Green’s jazz and funk background, sounding somewhat like the love child of Peter Gabriel and Suzanne Vega. “Pheno (aka Jess Green) evades categorisation on her debut EP, showing off a depth of songwriting and expression that begs to be explored further” Hayden Fritzlaff, BMA July 2017 “Making attractive, bold pop, out of left-field, peculiar sounds is not something

that seems easy but Green has clearly created a body of work that makes it look like a piece of cake, Pheno has confidently filled the slight art-pop gap in Australia with this project and has warmly embraced this boundary-free side of music.” Isabella Moore Happy Mag May 2017 As a special treat for the Imperial audience, this concert will also showcase works by Jess’ band mates Alyx Dennison and Bonnie Stewart, both renowned songwriters in their own right. The workshop with Eumundi School of Rock: The Pheno band is thrilled to be presenting a free two hour workshop with the students of Eumundi School of Rock, where they will work with the students on their upcoming finale concert and discuss their own approaches to performing and learning songs. TICKETS: Pre-sale $10 at the Imperial Hotel (Ph: 5442 8811). $15 at the door. Doors open 6.30pm. Put Friday 1 December in your diaries for Sex on Toast - a gig that is sure to be the perfect start to funfilled summer! Sex on Toast are an irre-

Sex on Toast pressibly charming 10 man organisation who specialise in raw early 80’s funk, hard-edged new jack swing, blazing improvisation and heartfelt blue-eyed soul. Hailing from Melbourne, their choreographed stage act, complex arrangements, performative larrikinism and danceability have won the hearts of casual punters and hardcore fans alike, all across Australia. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2014, featuring the lead singles ‘Takin’ Over’ and ‘Hold My Love’, accompanied by stunning music videos from Peter Savieri (Queen of the Damned, He Died With A Felafel In His Hand, The Muppets) and launching them into sell-out gigs, rave reviews and ecstatic crowds.

‘Oh Loretta’, the first single from their EP ‘Ready’ was released in 2015 as a continuation of Sex On Toast’s sublime studio musicianship and songwriting. 2016 was another stellar year for the band, with the EP ‘Ready’ released harking back to the days of slick LA studio bands and sophisticated pop bravado, coupled with the energy and tenacity that make Sex on Toast undeniable. Sex on Toast are taking the opportunity to perform a rare sideshow at The Imperial Hotel while they are on the Sunny Coast. COOROY RAG Majestic mourns passing of long-term volunteer THE Majestic Theatre Pomona recently lost one of the long term volunteers of the theatre and of Pomona, Robyn Jones. Our condolences to Robyn’s family and friends. Robyn worked tirelessly in the community for many years as the President of the Majestic Theatre and PAI (Pomona Arts Inc) She is credited with establishing the Old Pomona Railway Station Gallery after securing the discarded Pomona platform buildings from the Queensland Rail, and for retaining community ownership of the Majestic Theatre after working tirelessly to secure a record grant for the vital funding of its restoration. These remarkable achievements were achieved over 2 decades as a result of ongoing collaborative partnership between Noosa and Sunshine Coast Regional Council, the QLD Government and the Federal Government, and the significant contributions of the local community and businesses. Her legacy in changing and promoting the Arts and Culture precinct in the Noosa hinterland will endure for many years to come as the community and interstate and international visitors continue to visit and utilize our unique and iconic spaces and facilities. The Majestic Theatre is one of the longest running silent film theatres worldwide and continues to attract international tourist group audiences. It has launched local musicians, played host to charity events and enjoyed many sold-out shows by iconic artists including some who will return to perform in the months ahead. Recent efforts have seen it put forward to Tourism Noosa as a must see destination for their Country Drive campaign to capitalize on Noosa’s growing tourism market.

Happy 21st to Matt Johanson (November 18). All the best and lots of love from Mum, Dad, James (the dog) and all your special friends and family xo

health Get rid of unwanted hair permanently LASER Hair Removal is a fast, comfortable and a permanent alternative to waxing or shaving and is fast becoming the world’s most popular hair removal treatment. Why? Because it has several hard-to-beat benefits including permanent results, quick treatments, removes hair before it becomes visible, mess-free, and is less expensive in the long run than waxing or shaving. Pulsed light systems are similar to lasers, but with a larger, smooth beam, and a long pulse for safe, fast and comfortable treatment. Pulses of filtered light are directed onto the skin and absorbed by the hair follicles. IPL laser hair removal uses a unique long pulse width that delivers energy to the skin over a relatively long period of time. You may experience a feeling similar to that of a rubber band being snapped on the skin, but most people do not report this sensation as painful. Lakeridge Health and Beauty advise that prior to receiving IPL treatment you have no sun exposure, or self-tan or solarium treatments for 4-6 weeks.

Use an SPF30+ on the areas that are to be treated for two weeks prior and during treatment. No waxing, plucking or bleaching for four weeks prior to treatment. You must shave the treated area the night before the treatment. Dry shaving at the appointment time is painful and can cause irritation. Immediately after treatment, you can expect a mild sunburn-like sensation. Treated hair will continue to appear for 730 days post treatment.

This is not new hair growth, but the treated hairs being expelled from the skin. At any given time, some of your hair is not in a phase of active growth. Therefore you will need more than one treatment to affect the growth of all your unwanted hair. Typically, several treatments will be necessary to achieve permanent hair reduction. If you have any pigmentation on the skin such as freckles these spots can appear darker after the treatment but

will soon fade after a few days. The prices of IPL vary depending on the areas of concern. “We don’t do package deals as everyone is different and we tailor it to your needs,” said Practice Manager, Lisa Pree. “When booking in for a IPL for the first time, we will book you in for a consultation first and do a patch test.” For more information phone Lakeridge Health and Beauty Cooroy on 5442 6239.

Warning signs for a faulty “ticker” WHEN experiencing the symptoms of heart attack, it is important to understand they may not always be sudden or severe and may vary widely from person-to-person. You may have just one of these symptoms….you may experience them all … they may come on suddenly or develop more slowly over a period of time. It is important to call 000 if you experience any of the following. You can never be too careful with your heart! Some of the more common signs include: • Discomfort/pain in the centre of the chest. This often feels like a heaviness or tightness and may spread to the arms, shoulders, neck, jaw or back. • Shortness of breath • Nausea and cold sweats • Dizziness/light-headedness • Generally feeling “unwell” or “not quite right” People often confuse the term “heart attack”

(as above) with “cardiac arrest.” A sudden cardiac arrest is caused by the heart malfunctioning and then stopping beating unexpectedly. It is triggered by an electrical malfunction in the heart, causing the heartbeat to become irregular. In comparison, a heart attack, as described above, occurs when blood flow to the heart is blocked, preventing oxygen-rich blood from reaching a section of the heart. If this blockage cannot be reopened quickly, then parts of the heart begin to “die.” You may ask how these 2 conditions are linked? When a sudden cardiac arrest occurs, it is often caused by a heart attack as it disrupts the heart rhythm and therefore increase the risk of sending the heart into “arrest.” LiveLife Pharmacies have taken an interest in your heart-health and have invested to ensure there is a defibrillator machine available at ALL of their pharmacy locations. LiveLife well and happy!

health Get your eyebrows in shape at The Brow Barn

COOROY RAG

The Brow Barn is a little different to the traditional beauty salon. Decked out in wood and greenery, the studio is run by brow expert Ashley Pestano. Focusing solely on eyebrow shaping, correction, regrowth programmes, lash lifts and colour. The Brow Barn takes a natural approach to enhancing every face shape. Ashley says “Your brows shouldn’t follow the trends of fashion, they should be shaped to suit your face, hair and personality. I also take into consideration your brow growth and routine. If you’re not one to wear makeup, a manicured brow that needs filling will not suit your lifestyle.” So what is a Brow Artist and why the sudden trend?

A Brow Artist is specifically trained in brows. They understand the importance of light, shadow, lines and colour. Ashley won’t follow the lines from previous appointments. Rather, she looks beyond your current eyebrow shape, colour & texture to create brows you love, that suit you. For decades brows have been waxed too thin or into a tadpole shape. Why is this trend suddenly unflattering? Brow Artists have discovered that the highest point of your eyebrow (otherwise known as the arch) should be placed past the outer half of your brow. Wherever your arch is, is where the focus goes. An arch near your nose draws focus to the centre of the face bringing the eye down and inward. An arch placed further out draws the eye to the cheekbones and temples framing the eyes, giving the illusion of a wider, more open eye area. Your initial eyebrow overhaul appointment with ashley is 45 minutes and covers a thorough consultation, brow shaping, tinting, correction, a mini tutorial on brow makeup application as well as brow maitenance, tips and tricks. Following appointments are just as thorough and 30 minutes long.

The Brow Barn is located at 2 King St Cooran. Bookings can be made online through thebrowbarn.com or phone 0434 021 204, and before and afters of Ashleys work can be found on her facebook and instagram page @thebrowbarncooran.

Benefits of Weight training for Women THE benefits of resistance exercise for women is extremely well documented, however, many women do not include resistance training (weight training) into their exercise regime. As physiotherapists, we are often explaining these benefits to women in a hope that they will start to include resistance training and help to combat the side effects of a loss of muscle mass. Muscle mass starts to decline from around age 30, but for women, this decline increases after menopause. This loss of muscle mass has many side effects: 1. Weight gain – Loss of muscle results in increase body fat percentage as well as a decrease in the metabolism. Therefore, women start to gain weight with the same calorie intake that they had previously 2. Weakness and loss of stamina- as muscle mass decreases, your ability to lift, push, pull also declines 3. Frailness and poor balance – a reduction in muscle mass has also been linked to reduced mobility and balance 4. Decreased walking speed 5. May contribute to fracture development There are many benefits to weight or resistance training including: *Preventing age-related decline in muscle mass and improving muscle fibre size *Increased metabolism and weight reduction *Increased bone mineral density and re-

duced risk of developing osteoporosis *Reduced risk of adult-onset diabetes *Lower blood pressure *Decreased arthritis pain *Maintenance of or improvement in lower back health *Increased functional independence *Improved walking speed *Improved sleep *Decreased depressive symptoms *Increased self-efficacy *Increased overall physical activity level *Improved static and dynamic balance The benefits are clear, but where should you start? Hinteractive Physio offers Ladies Safe Strength classes with physiotherapist Rebecca Steele. These classes use varies forms of resistance, including body weight, hand weights and resistance bands to build strength in all of the major muscle groups. In this class format, you are under the supervision of a trained physiotherapist with a special interest in Women’s Health who can assess your technique and make corrections where necessary. Advice on weight selection and progression is also offered. These classes are extremely popular and booking is essential. of a resident’s exit entitlements to 18 months. (it requires Villages to “buyback” (at market value) if the home stays unsold for 18 months). Other changes include making the reinstatement process fairer by only requiring residents to leave their home in the same condition it was in when

they first moved in (apart from fair wear and tear and any approved renovations) and introducing enforceable behaviour standards for Village operators. These changes are great news and highlight the importance of being fully informed before transitioning to a Retirement Village.

There are many things to consider. Sykes Pearson Miller Lawyer, Andrew Markert has helped many people during this major life change and can assist you in navigating the legal complexities of this transition. For more information phone SPM Law on 5440 4800.

Live in a state of tranquil enjoyment in a wealth of space

Bed 5; Bath 3; Car 3; Spa; 2.22ha / 5.48 acres Substantial is an understatement when describing this very special property just minutes from the village shops and schools of Pomona. Perfect for a growing or extended family, it’s big enough for the most enthusiastic of entertainers, but cosy enough to call home. The versatile and expansive floor plan boasts 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, including a fully selfcontained guest suite in a separate wing. Immaculate inside and out, this grand abode sits well back from the road on a lush 5.48 acre block. Offering the perfect north-facing aspect, the property is approached by a concrete driveway, with easy access into the remote entry 3-car garage and separate workshop. Offered to the market for the first time, everything about this property is large scale. Even the outdoor entertainment area is huge, and can accommodate 40-plus seated guests for Christmas lunch! The dazzling kitchen is superb with stone bench tops, breakfast bar, outdoor servery, free standing oven with 6-burner gas cook top, dishwasher and butler’s pantry. There’s an outdoor kitchen, too, complete with Caesar stone bench top, built-in BBQ wok burner and sink. 67 Kauri Street, Cooroy We had a really great experience which could have been very stressful but Phil took us by the hand step by step. I was feeling very worried and his response was “don’t worry, that’s what I’m here for, tell me what you are worried about and I’ll sort it out for you” this sort of attitude is exactly what you need when selling. I highly recommend Phil and would certainly recommend him to my friends and use him again if the need arises. Thank you Phil for making our sale go through without a hitch and for all your support, very grateful. Helen & Stuart (Seller)

Great Agent Phil and Sam from Hargrave Real Estate were professional yet friendly and a wealth of information about the area. Quick with responses to questions both email and phone. Comfortable all year round with insulated ceilings and exterior walls, this energy efficient home stays cool in summer and warm in winter. Big windows and sliding doors invite in the light and views and allow for gentle cross breezes. Ceiling fans and air-conditioning guarantee your comfort. The neutral colour scheme is timeless and allows you to put your mark on this fabulous property. Heading back outdoors you’ll love all the inclusions, especially the spacious undercover spa. Action aplenty at Noosa Hill Climb

BOOK NOW FOR YOUR CORPORATE CHRISTMAS PARTIES ALL WELCOME

Cooroy Golf Club Myall St, Cooroy • 5447 6258 Noosa’s Max Parnell bravely storms up the wet hill on slick tyres in his replica of the 1967 Formula 1 Championship-winning Brabham BT24 Grand Prix car Fifty Sunshine Coast drivers battled some of Australia’s finest racers at the 2017 Summer Noosa Hill Climb, enduring a mix of sunny and then treacherously wet conditions at the event’s 20th anniversary edition. Over 150 racing, classic and modern sports cars raced up the challenging 1.5-kilometre Gyndier Dr climb in Tewantin, with approximately a third of the field living on the Sunshine Coast. Fastest of all through the 14 corners of State Forest was perennial champion Michael von Rappard of Airlie Beach in his open-wheel 1992 Dallara Hayabusa, who narrowly missed out on lowering his own track record at Noosa with a time of 50.43-seconds. Only seven drivers managed to get under the 60-second mark, with Doonan local Grant Elliott being the fastest Sunshine Coaster with a time of 58.14-seconds in his 2006 Elfin Streamliner MS8. A huge variety of competing cars offered eve-

rything from a 1925 Austin Sports Special to a replica of the 1967 F1 World Championshipwinning Brabham Grand Prix car, right through to moderns such as Lotus Exiges and Toyota 86s. This year’s event celebrated 20 years since the inaugural running of the Noosa Hill Climb, with four drivers taking part who had participated in that first event: Rob van Wegen, Philip Redhead, Peter Walsh and Allan Conway. The latter three are still using the same race cars too: a 1960 MGA, 1969 Jaguar E-Type and 1960 Lotus Seven respectively. Event chairman Bruce Anderson said the event’s success was in part down to many drivers continuing to come back to Noosa for its unique racing challenge. “To have four drivers and three cars that were at that first event is exceptional, and there are a whole heap of other drivers who’ve attended the event over many years. The drivers always say it’s a lot of fun, it’s great grassroots

motorsport and fantastic social engagement.” “We’re always trying to improve things for spectators too, and the feedback we get is they love seeing all these incredible cars that they don’t get to see on the road anymore.” The event marked Remembrance Day at 11am during Saturday’s proceedings, with drivers removing their helmets and standing for an impeccably observed minute silence alongside volunteers, track workers and spectators. While most of Saturday’s racing was held under sunny skies, torrential rain for much of Sunday meant many drivers packed up early rather than risk their cars on the notoriously unforgiving Noosa Hill Climb track. The drivers who did stay put on a show of wonderful car control for the fans as they slid through wet corners made even slippier by oil dropped by a racing VW Beetle. Five Sunshine Coasters took home trophies for class wins, highlighting the level of driving talent we have locally.
