In the British Museum the Cyrus Cylinder describes how Cyrus overtook Babylon exactly the way the Bible predicted he would in Isaiah 45:1-3, which God had named him 150 years before he was born .

Daniel 2:43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.

They will try to mingle with each other to reunite Europe but it will never happen. They will not cling to one another just as iron does not mix with clay. In the Fredericksburg Castle in Denmark there is a painting of a family tree with pictures of Europe trying to unite the roil line of Europe, but they didn’t succeed .

In Daniel 7 Beasts are used as symbols for kingdoms but there explained in more detail.

(Daniel 7:24) Then there was a little horn that came up out of the ten and three of the first horns were up rooted. One kingdom will arise and destroy three as it grows in power.

What does this mean?

Example: The little horn grows in power like your tooth and takes your old one and uproots it and grows into its full form. But in this case it takes up three.

The little horn/kingdom has to come from among the ten remnants of the Roman Empire.

It has to come after 476AD. The little horn is none other than the Papacy (Roman Catholic Church). “But when the Roman Empire had disintegrated and its place had been taken by a number of rude, barbarous kingdoms, the Roman Catholic church not only became independent of the states in religious affairs but dominated secular affairs as well. At times, under such rulers as Charlemagne ( 768-814), Otto the Great ( 936-73), and Henry III ( 1039-56), the civil power controlled the church to some extent; but in general, under the weak political system of feudalism, the well organized, unified, and centralized church, with the pope at its head, was not only independent in ecclesiastical affairs but also controlled civil affairs.

In the Bible a “time” is equal to one literal year. (See Daniel 4:16) The Hebrew year consisted of 360 days. Therefore, a time = year (360 days) , times = two years (720 days), and half a time is = to half a year (180 days). In the prophetic context as we have already seen, time is also symbolic. (See Numbers 14:34, Ezekiel 4:6, Psalm 77:5) So, if you add up the days in this verse you come to 1260 prophetic days, or 1260 literal years. Are these 1260 years significant as we look back into the annals of history?

Papal rule began in 538 A.D. and lasted 1260 years to 1798.

42 prophetic months x 30 days/month= 1260 years. This is how long the Papacy ruled for. 538 A.D. - 1798 The Bible says that one of the heads of the beast would receive a fatal wound, but the fatal wound would be healed. Revelation 13:3

One of the official titles of the papacy is Vicarius Filii Dei or Vicar of the Son of God. Vicarius Filii Dei is Latin, and Latin letters have numerical value. This he wears on his crown.

THE FINAL BEAST Revelation 13:11-18 Unlike the rest of the beast that rose out of the sea, this beast rises out of the earth, Revelation 13:11. This kingdom rises from an unpopulated area, if you remember water represents allot of people, Revelation 17:5. A new kingdom arises from a land not populated with people. This is none other than the UNITED STATES.

The lamb like horns represents civil and religious freedom. But as Revelation 13:12-13 clearly states it changes into a drastic beast.

The two horn beast appears in two phases, with the gentleness of a lamb and the fierceness of the dragon. The UNITED STATES sends the doctrine of equality of all men in respect to natural rights, right of life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, and grant the privilege to all worship God according to the dictates of their own conscience (Seperation of Church and State). But this will come to an end when Congress will be called upon to make laws concerning religion.

Does the UNITED STATES fit the prophecy It’s the only nation to have come from a sparsely populated area. It rose after the first beast/kingdom after 1798, and it has or had lamb like qualities. As mentioned above.

The UNITED STATES is one of the most influential super powers in the world today and will be till the end.

A European Journal 1850 speaks of the U.S as a “wonderful Empire that was “emerging” amid the silence of the earth, daily adding to its power.”

What was is coming again church and state uniting like the first beast so the second will be. This is what is to come and is here now as predicted in the Bible.

Some other denominations think the second beast is Israel or a kingdom in the Middle East. But what superpower do you know of that is in the Middle East, or rose from an unpopulated area, or has such influence as the UNITED STAES. What kingdom in the east is similar in appearance to the Roman Church by design and law? It’s certainly not Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, and China. All the previous kingdoms have had very popular influences and domination. The criteria set in the Bible these kingdoms do not have.
