Alumni Relations ConcordiaCollege.edu/alumni

Greetings from Concordia The 2015 academic year has come to a close at Concordia. I hope your summer is off to a great start! To help keep Cobbers connected to each other and the college, we’d like to share some of the news, events, services and activities we offer to alumni and friends of the college, both on and off campus. You can always find out what’s happening on Twitter, Facebook, the alumni website at ConcordiaCollege. edu/alumni, and by subscribing to electronic News & Notes at ConcordiaCollege.edu/news In addition to events like Homecoming, corn feeds, five-year reunions and global travel tours, we’d like to announce the launch of our own social community called CobbersConnect. Stay tuned and download the CobbersConnect mobile app later this summer (for iPhone and Android devices) to engage and network with fellow Cobbers. Support the mission of Concordia by providing a job shadow experience or mentoring a student interested in your career. You can also give to scholarships or specific projects at CobbersGive.org—our recently launched crowdfunding site. However you like to engage, there is a way for you to connect with Concordia alumni and friends. May your summer be filled with unexpected blessings. We look forward to seeing you soon! CobbersGive.org You’ve heard of crowdfunding; now meet CobbFunding. With CobbersGive, you put your money where your heart is by choosing specific campus and student-led projects to support. It’s inspired by sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo. Check out this new and exciting way to support Concordia’s students and programs.

Support The Concordia Annual Fund, driven by a mission-motivated and student-focused strategy, invites you to demonstrate Cobbers for Cobbers by helping fuel the tradition of giving to support students and enhance excellence. Gifts made today are immediately put to work tomorrow where they’re needed most—to provide vital student scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, student services and general institutional support for the current year. Make a gift online at ConcordiaCollege.edu/giving Leadership Giving Concordia recognizes the cumulative contributions of donors at different levels, starting with C-400 Leadership Giving of $1,250 per year.* Legacy Scholarship Society This program supports Concordia’s first priority: our students. With each $5,000 named scholarship, a specific student is impacted. Legacy gifts are used only for scholarships and are based on need and scholastic achievement. Planned Giving Leave a lasting legacy for future students by including Concordia in your estate plan through a bequest, annuity, trust or retirement plan. Matching Gifts Many companies offer a matching gift benefit that doubles or even triples their employees’ charitable contributions. Check our database to see if your employer participates. *in honor of Concordia College’s 125th anniversary in 2016

CobbersConnect (Alumnify)

Soon you’ll be only one app away from joining an active network of Concordia alumni. The Office of Alumni Relations is partnering with Alumnify to create a modern professional network, CobbersConnect. This app will allow you to search for Concordia alumni by industry, age and geography. It’s an easy and effective way to organize meetups, hire an intern, get career advice or reconnect. Even better, the app uses your LinkedIn profile so you don’t have to create another social presence. CobbersConnect will be available for download on iOS and Android platforms later this summer. The more alumni who participate, the more effective the app will be. Please help spread the word. Once the app is available, we’ll post information on the college’s social media channels. Stay tuned!
