Michael began his career with Rosewood Hotel Group in 2013 as the Hotel Manager of Rosewood London. After four years, he was promoted to the position of Managing Director. Under his guidance, the ultra-luxury hotel located in High Holborn solidified its reputation as one of the most prestigious properties in the city, offering the ultimate in luxury hospitality experiences in the capital. Before joining Rosewood, Michael held various roles at one of the world's best hotels, Claridge's.

He initiated his career at a young age by working alongside his parents at their hotels in Scotland, and later, moved to the United States to work with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in Boston, Toronto, and New York. In 2023, Michael was selected to lead The Chancery Rosewood, a forthcoming establishment situated in the former US Embassy on Grosvenor Square.
In 2017, Thomas commenced his journey with wagamama as People Director, eventually ascending to the position of CEO in 2021. Under his leadership, the company successfully navigated the challenges posed by the post-pandemic period and has thrived as the brand expands its presence both in the UK and on the global stage.
