This report includes detailed scaled salary information for industry specific full-time professional positions across Italy.
The scope of the data is national.
The data for each position is broken down in three banding categories:
Band A → Ideal starting salary offer when stepping up into a position. Lowest end of the market’s pay norm.
Minimum experience in the position and still developing relevant skills.
Band B → Salary offer sitting within the 50th percentile; median range of the market. The candidate has an average level of experience and has most of the necessary skills.
Band C → Top end of salary offers for hiring or retaining individuals.
Higher experience, superior skills, finer institutional/business knowledge and exceeding responsibilities. Market’s rarest resource and top talent’s worth according to market key factors and dynamics.

Benefits
Paid annual leave: employees in Italy are entitled to at least 4 weeks of paid annual leave. This can increase based on collective agreements or company policy.
Sick leave: the duration and amount depend on national, sectoral, or company agreements. The Italian Social Security Institute (INPS) usually covers part of the wages during long-term illness.
Maternity leave: Female employees receive 5 months of maternity leave (2 months before and 3 months after childbirth) at 80% of their salary, covered by INPS.
Paternity leave: Fathers are entitled to at least 10 days of paid paternity leave.
Social security contributions: employers and employees contribute to Italy's social security system, which provides coverage for pensions, unemployment, sickness, and disability benefits.
Pension: employees are entitled to a state pension after reaching a certain age and having contributed to the system for a minimum number of years. Private pension schemes can supplement this.
Healthcare (Servizio Sanitario Nazionale): and all employees have access to healthcare services funded by contributions to the system.
Unemployment benefits: employees who lose their job may be entitled to unemployment benefits (NASpI), based on their previous contributions and employment duration.
Severance pay (TFR - Trattamento di Fine Rapporto): upon termination of employment, employees are entitled to a severance payment, which is a portion of their salary accumulated during their employment.
Working hours and overtime: standard working week is 40 hours. Overtime must be compensated, often with higher pay rates as defined by law or collective agreements.
Public holidays: Italy observes 12 national public holidays. Employees are entitled to time off or additional pay if they work on these days.
